Monday, there is new stuff coming to Fatal Fury: City of Wolves. I’m sure the furries are delighted. Tuesday, PowerWash Sim 2 has its own R2D2 soon, and that will be my dad screaming bloody murder when something opens, again. There Are No Ghosts at the Grand also got a new trailer. Wednesday, The Last Gas Station is out now, and Kioku: Last Summer got a release date; two cozy and totally innocent games with no darker undertones to either one. Thursday, WWII RTS perverts (it’s me, I’m the pervert) got a surprise as Theatre of War is getting a remake.
Onto the Epic Games Store, and not since last year have I felt like Lesley Gore’s first song from her debut album. We’ll start with the one that is forever annoying me, this week’s free-to-play thing with in-game guff being offered as something of value for free is Firestone – Idle Clicker Online RPG. This week, it is Luana, The Grove Guardian skin and the bump of cocaine that is all the basic things that make the game “fun.” I say it a lot, “valued at $100” to whom? If I wanted a redhead in skimpy armor and to waste my time, I’d go hide in your parents’ closet when your dad gets home.

Despite what Epic is telling me on PC at the time of writing, this week’s offering on mobile, other than Firestone, is Dotemu, Guard Crush, and Lizardcube’s 2020 release, Streets of Rage 4. I say it every week, but this is not the type of thing I’d want to play on a mobile, really. Even with a controller, a 5″ screen on a table a foot away – I’ll be lucky if I can make out the chaos of a beat ’em up on a 60″ screen at five feet away. It is just another odd choice to be the mobile and tablet offering.
Just before we get back to the real reason we’re here, I noticed that when I opened Epic to write this, you can pick up and play Joanne’s Persona for creeps again. Available until the 3rd of May, you can once again pick up Hogwarts Legacy. You could also, much like Reform is desperately trying to do, send her some solid brown material instead of giving her money. Take it from someone who hated her before Twitter existed; supporting her isn’t worth it.

Anyway, I’ve stood on my soapbox and given my politest words I can give about some things, let’s move on to Massive Miniteam and HandyGames’ 2025 factory, automation game, Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure. A colorful, cartoonish, and delightful little action-adventure thing that isn’t going to replace Satisfactory or other games of its ilk, but looks like a delightful little sidequest. Generally praised when you include the early access reviews, but a year later, it launched into 1.0, and a year beyond that, there still isn’t much to write home about.
All this week, you can pick up Firestone‘s “Valued at $100” nonsense and Streets of Rage 4 on mobile, with the former also available on the Epic Games Store for PC alongside Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure until the 7th of May. Onto next week, and I might not want to climb into a bin with a shotgun. Indeed, I was surprised we’re getting Trash Goblin, the wholesome shopkeeping thing with a fantasy setting. Though we don’t just get one game, we also have Furniture & Mattress LLC’s RPG puzzle adventure, Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure.
