Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will go live this week, a game sure to be the center of the largest entertainment launch of a consumer product in history. There’s a lot we still don’t know about the game, given that it’s set to release this November, but one thing we can now say for sure is what amount our cards will be charged on release day. With two versions of the game and their price points confirmed, here’s what we know about the Grand Theft Auto 6 Price reveal.

We speculated for a long time about the price of Grand Theft Auto 6, and now we know. The standard edition of the game will be priced at $79.99, USD, while the Ultimate version will cost players $99.99. In my opinion, this is sort of a best-case scenario, considering some rumors speculated that a $100 USD price tag might be for the standard edition alone. When titles like Mario Kart World begin launching for $79.99, it’s not shocking that Rockstar Games would follow suit.
Take-Two, Rockstar Games’ parent company, previously announced that pre-orders would start on June 25th. All pre-orders before November 20th include the Vintage Vice City Pack of retro in-game items. If you plan on buying the game digitally, you’ll also get a free month of GTA+, a membership that unlocks in-game perks and access to Grand Theft Auto 5 and other titles. We also know the game will launch as a single-player experience first, meaning any benefits to Online capabilities are still pending. Let us know in the comments if this price point shocks you or keeps you away from buying at launch!
