The Following Article contains Spoilers for Control and Control Resonant; reader discretion is advised

After spending over 50 hours with my current GOTY contender, Control Resonant, I have a lot of thoughts, particularly about where Remedy could take the game and its story in expansions. If past games are any indication, Control Resonant will likely receive at least 2 expansions before they move to either Alan Wake 3 or potentially Control 3. Regardless of their next project, here are some questions and secrets for the upcoming expansions.

The Blessed Organization: Throughout Control Resonant, several Altered Items created by the Blessed Organization are revealed to have been given/sold to ordinary people. Dylan is even able to save people from the items, including a rather interesting Karaoke machine and a long side quest involving a Speaker set. The Speaker Set was also part of an ARG promoting the game, so it seems like the Blessed Organization will have more importance moving forward.

The Oldest House: Control Resonant puts Manhattan and The Oldest House through the wringer. However, we don’t see as much of The Oldest House as we did in the first game. Perhaps Dylan should explore The Foundation, or even the various floors of The Oldest House in a DLC expansion? The developers have a lot of the assets already, or maybe we’ll see new, shifted sections of the house we haven’t seen before?

The Oceanview Motel and Casino: After an interesting section toward the end of the game, Dylan receives a postcard regarding the “Oceanview Motel and Casino” which was previously only referred to as The Oceanview Motel. Normally, the Oceanview Motel is a nexus between the worlds of various Remedyverse games, but it was conspicuously missing in Control Resonant for most of the game, as was our loyal Janitor Ahti. Perhaps it is time to figure out why?

Jesse’s Fate: The end of Control Resonant parallels the first game in an interesting way. Jesse is the one in some form of coma after saving Dylan’s life. However, the game points out that she is still alive and her brain is still active. Dylan and the FBC are determined to save her, so perhaps we’ll see a DLC focused on her ultimate fate? Or maybe they’ll save that for the 3rd game, considering it has been confirmed by the developers that Resonant is not the end of the Fadens’ journey.

Regardless, we know there is more ahead for Dylan Faden, now that he is an official FBC contractor. I’m excited to see what comes next for him, and hopefully either The Game Awards or Summer Game Fest 2027 will show us what Remedy has planned for the future. Either way, Control Resonant is a lot of fun, and these are just a few of many secrets littered about in the game’s world.
