I absolutely love monster movies. Well, to be more specific, I love vampire fiction, werewolves, witches, and the like. As such, the concept of Vaewolf really tickles my interest. Now, a new trailer released over the weekend details more about what we can expect next year from the unique revenge story.

Following its reveal last month at Gamescom, Vaewolf’s new trailer reveals more about the tale surrounding the unique Vampire/Hybrid protagonist. This dark tale is founded on revenge, and unlike Ghost of Yotei, you’ll be taking a bite out of your foes. Here is what the press release says about the new reveal:

“Following its exciting reveal at Gamescom last month, Vaewolf returns with a new trailer at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, pulling back the curtain on its dark story founded on a ceaseless quest for revenge.

Developed by BAFTA and Emmy Award-shortlisted studio Milky Tea and published by Megabit, Vaewolf is a fast-paced hack-and-slash power fantasy set in a reimagined ancient English North. Players will become the Vaewolf, a legendary hybrid of werewolf and vampire, harnessing devastating powers, awakening deadly new abilities, and hunting down the Viking clan responsible for the slaughter of your family.

Harness the legendary powers of the Vaewolf and master its deadly incarnations: strike your enemies from distance with the Elf’s ruthless precision; command the Werewolf’s raw fury and tear their defences to shreds; and dominate the battlefield with the Vampire’s dark magic.

Vaewolf will be coming to all major platforms next year. We don’t have a full release date yet, but I’m very excited to see more. Hopefully we’ll get a demo soon, or a gameplay showcase.
