Well, this will be quick. Monday, Company of Heroes – Definitive Edition got a release window for the 20-year-old game’s re-release with many quality-of-life improvements. Tuesday, Stupid Never Dies is proven by the voting public, no matter how many years between voting where you are, but the game got a deep dive trailer ahead of its release. Meanwhile, Wednesday, probably one of the best tycoon/management games of the last 15-20 years, Two Point Museum, gets its “Rides and Relics” DLC on October 8th. Apparently, no one wants to release games on that Wednesday.

On to the Epic Games Store, and it is a double bill of wishing I wasn’t writing this at 05:35 and two games I wish I could find interest in. We’ll start with the colorful option because it is everyone’s favorite collection of words “a turn-based combat game with Rogue-like and deck-building elements,” so a video game released between 2016 and the heat death of the universe. Roboatino’s Shogun Showdown is reviewed favorably, but I beg that it sells itself and the gameplay better; otherwise, I just don’t care. Dear devs and publishers, tell us why we should be excited about your game.

The second offering is a bit more interesting, albeit sadly it has the art style of an Adult Swim cartoon released in about 2017. Mindcop is a “non-linear ‘whodunnit’ detective game” where you are a literal mind… cop. Jumping into the minds of suspects, you’ll encounter a magical mystery tour inside their minds as you uncover the truth and figure out the whodunnit murder mystery in the town of Merrylin Crater Camp. See, publishers and devs, feed me a reason to play and I can sell your game even when it is free. Mindcop is also the mobile offering this week.

All this week, you can pick up Shogun Showdown and Mindcop on the Epic Games Store for PC, with the latter also available on mobile, until the 24th of September. Moving on to next week, I wish to get off the ride now; I’m not enjoying it. Say it with me kids, Astrea: Six Sided Oracles is a “DICE-deck-building Rogue-like that flips the script on deckbuilders.” Wow, so original. If that’s not your thing, Mechabellum being an auto-battler (I’m still confused) won’t be too exciting either. Did I mention that Prime/Luna this month isn’t terrible?
