The Nintendo Customer Appreciation Sale promised 30% discounts on games, accessories, and merch. For the most part, it kind of feels like an average end-of-summer Nintendo sale. The big difference is these five surprises that caught our eye. Let’s jump into a few of the 2026 Nintendo Customer Appreciation Sale highlights!

Nintendo Alarmo Gets a Discount

Does anyone need an Alarmo? No, probably not. For 30% off, though, many might decide to try this unique piece of Nintendo product. The clock is a Nintendo-themed alarm clock with fun animations, sounds, and characters from some of your favorite games. Select a title, pick a scene, set a time, and in the morning you’ll experience immersive sounds and music.

There are 74 scenes inspired by Nintendo Switch games, many of which are included in the overall sale. I would be lying if I didn’t want one just for desk decor. If anyone owns one, can you write in and tell me if it’s worth it at a discount? Thanks in advance.

Both Super Mario Galaxy Games On Sale

For a game that includes two remasters, I wasn’t sure we’d see Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 in the Nintendo Customer Appreciation Sale, but I’m happy to see it included. If you haven’t played these two games, I highly recommend them. This is a particularly exciting inclusion for anyone riding the high of the Super Mario Galaxy Movie. 

If you’re not someone with a strong affection for the Nintendo Wii-era for any reason, these are two of the console’s best games. Give them a shot, and I have a good feeling you’ll be reworking your all-time Super Mario tier list.

Some Expensive Amiibo Are Included in the Nintendo Customer Appreciation Sale

Amiibo don’t usually get discounted. I would have understood if some of the original Super Smash Bros. amiibo or some friends from the Mushroom Kingdom got a pity 30% discount. When I saw the Kirby Air Riders amiibo, which retails anywhere from $40-60, also discounted, I assumed it was an error. Nevertheless, the sales are still active two days after it began.

Kirby Air Riders might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but as shelving decor, these are some of the best amiibo Nintendo has produced to this day. Show me a bookshelf, and I bet you can’t tell me it wouldn’t look better with a Kirby & Warp Star on it. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

OG Joy-Cons for the Switch Get Rare Discount

It doesn’t happen often, but the original Joy-Cons for the Nintendo Switch are included in the sale. Sets in all major colorways, excluding limited-time exclusives, are 30% off, bringing the total down to $62.99 USD.

There are some really great colorways I skipped at launch. Now, I’m tempted to pick up another pair. I’m partial to the Orange and Purple set given we’re on the precipice of Halloween season.

No Switch 2 Games?

The big surprise for me was that the sale didn’t include any Switch 2 games. I guess eagle-eyed Nintendo fans will notice they only mentioned the Switch in their announcement. That said, they run sales for Switch 2 games all the time, so why not now when people are in a shopping mindset? Either way, backward compatibility means Switch 2 owners can likely pick up something they don’t have in their library at a discount during the sale.
