The price drop for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from $29.99 USD to $22.99 brought some players back to the subscription service, including me. Truth be told, the release of a new Forza Horizon game was likely to do that already, but in a slew of questionable moves from Xbox, I’ll take one that saves me a bit of money. While many might pick up a subscription for Forza Horizon 6 this month, there are other titles to play while you’re active on the service, including these Xbox Game Pass additions for May 2026.

Headlining the Xbox Game Pass additions for May 2026 is Forza Horizon 6, which arrives for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on May 19th. The game is a Day One release for the platform and is sure to be a 2026 Game of the Year contender. Before Forza Horizon 6, Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass can check out Final Fantasy V on May 5th, as well as Ben 10 Power Trip on May 6th.

Also on May 6, Premium members can now access Descenders Next, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers,  and Wheel World, all of which were previously limited to Ultimate and PC tiers. Those top tiers can access Mixtape as a Day One release on May 7th, the highly anticipated game from Beethoven & Dinosaur. Later on May 11th, Ultimate and PC also get Outbound, a crafting game that takes place in a cozy home on wheels.

Rounding out May is several Ultimate and PC titles, including May 12th’s addition of the card game Black Jacket and a Day One release for Call of the Elder Gods, a Lovecraftian narrative puzzle game and follow-up to 2020’s Call of the Sea. Elite Dangerous comes to Ultimate and PC tiers the same day, offering subscribers some starship management action. Premium tier subscribers will also get a new game on May 14th when DOOM: The Dark Ages arrives.

Closing out this announcement of Xbox Game Pass additions for May 2026 is another eagerly anticipated game: Subnautica 2 arrives on May 14th. The follow-up to two incredible underwater exploration games from Unknown Worlds will release in Game Preview, Xbox’s version of Early Access.
