I’ve always enjoyed the various spin-off games set within the universe of Warhammer 40K. This week, Games Workshop and the developers at Auroch Digital have announced some new details regarding the upcoming roguelite entry within the universe. Hopes to capture the magic of the highly successful Vampire Survivors.

Announced earlier this year, Warhammer Survivors allows you to battle through endless swarms of enemies utilizing characters from the 40k and Age of Sigmar fantasy universe. The game certainly hopes to capture the magic of the highly successful Vampire Survivors, as the game is made in partnership using Poncle’s game engine as the base. Auroch Digital, who previously worked on the Boltgun series (a retro Doom-style shooter also set in the 40k universe), has also certainly kept the style of the game, with retro pixel art and 2D art providing the core of the game’s art direction. Warhammer Survivors is set to launch on November 10th, 2026 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, as well as Switch, Switch 2, and even mobile platforms. The game will retail for $7.99 with a 10% discount on certain platforms.

Ahead of this launch, pre-orders for the game are now available, though Xbox Series X pre-orders will go live on the 27th of October. Pre-order bonuses have yet to be revealed, with Auroch Digital promising more details on a future Steam post. A demo for Warhammer Survivors is also currently available, which now features two new playable champions: The Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Ravenya. There will also be updated features based on player feedback in the form of new weapons and passive abilities, along with the Gloomspite Gitz as new enemies.

The Gitz are a group of goblins and troll-like creatures who utilize weaponry and magic derived from fungus. Truly a unique take on the classic creatures. The full game is set to feature over 40 playable characters as well as 75 unique weapons, multiple maps as well as game modes, and dozens of unique bosses and power-ups.

I've been playing games since I was a little kid. I have a soft spot for Nintendo titles and RPG's but play all kinds of titles across a variety of platforms. Outside of games I love to play music and practice martial arts. You can find me on Facebook and Instagram as well.
