Nighthawks is Out Now on Steam

Ah, it always lifts my spirits when I get an email from Steam telling me a game I’ve had on my radar for ages has finally launched. This time around, it’s Nighthawks, developed by The Curiosity Engine and published by Wadjet Eye Games. Steam tells me I’ve had Nighthawks on my wishlist since I first heard about it, all the way back in late April of 2020. I must confess that, since its development seemed totally dormant for the vast majority of that time, I had become increasingly worried Nighthawks would never actually release. Boy, am I glad to be wrong!

Nighthawks is a cross between a visual novel and an RPG in which “the secret is out. Vampires have been exposed to the world… and you’re one of them.” Nighthawks will expect players to “seize the night as a modern monster, stepping out of the shadows to build a thriving nightclub empire through fear, seduction, and forbidden supernatural gifts.” In Nighthawks, “six months ago, you died and were reborn. A vampire. A predator. Not a mere creature of the night, but one of its masters. At least, that’s how things were supposed to be…” I knew those travel brochures were lying!

“You arrive in the one city willing to promise vampires a fresh start, only to find suspicion and paranoia waiting on its dark streets. [However,] death could not hold you, and fear will not hold you back. When the sun sets, outcasts rise.” I can personally attest to that. I may not be a vampire (though I could probably pass for one), but I certainly try not to venture outdoors most of the year. I’ll definitely make room for Nighthawks in next month’s game budget. Nighthawks is available on Steam now for $19.99, though it’s temporarily discounted to $17.99 until September 29th, 2026.
