Spanish & Latin America Showcase devINITIVE Set for September 16

More games are coming out in the next four months to close 2026 than I know what to do with. It’s a good problem, particularly because my favorite game of the year might not even be on my radar. I love the idea that a new gem is just right around the corner, and no space in the industry is better at taking us all by surprise than indie studios. A collection of Latin American and Spanish indie game studios working on great projects is getting their own showcase on September 16th when devINITIVE hosts its second showcase. Here are more details on the event.

Back for its second year, devINITIVE will bring together a selection of independent Spanish and Latin American video games, featuring world premieres, exclusive demos, and release dates. The showcase features a selection of games from a pretty wide range of projects. The organizing team selected games from more than 250 submissions received, resulting in a final lineup of around 90 titles for this edition.

The devINITIVE Showcase is organized by Caye (@lovelyindies) and Panchi (@djpanchi1) and will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel at 3 p.m EST, 2 p.m. CST, and 12 p.m. PST in the United States. In an official statement for the event, the organizers say, “Choosing who to give space to was no easy task. Thank you to all the studios and developers who trusted us and shared their work: we’ve put together a showcase we’re incredibly proud of, and we hope it helps people discover great games.”

At a time when global game development is at an all-time high, supporting and streaming showcases like devINITIVE is important.
