The miseries of summer are definitely in full swing now (at least in this hemisphere). Luckily, I haven’t yet melted to the point that I can no longer tell you about July’s Humble Choice bundle. The bundle in question is live now and will be available until Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, at 10 AM Pacific Time. It’s the usual affair you’ve all come to expect by now: eight games on offer, all of which can be redeemed on Steam, plus a one-month IGN Plus subscription for anyone who might be interested. Let’s get on with it before I resume sublimating!

Up first this month is Sea of Stars: Sunset Edition, developed and published by Sabotage Studio. Sea of Stars purports to be a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics, which “tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.” Ah, so this is the good old-fashioned “Balance Druid vs. Unholy Death Knight” battle, as this pairing would almost definitely be known in the Warcraft universe.

Next up, we’ll find out whether or not the Sea of Stars is a decent enough body of water in which to launder a Tunic, developed by Tunic Team and published by Finji. In Tunic, you play as “a small fox on a big adventure” in which you’ll “explore a land filled with lost legends, ancient powers, and ferocious monsters.” You can find signs and documents around the world to help you on your quest, but the trouble is that they’re all written in a language you initially don’t understand. Hopefully, that language barrier won’t lead to any offended super-powerful bosses.

Game number three for this month is Neon White, developed by Angel Matrix and published by Annapurna Interactive. Neon White presents itself as “a single-player speedrunning FPS where you can sacrifice your guns for godlike parkour moves.Neon White has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam, and that has been the case for a good while. I should also mention that Neon White is discounted to $9.99 until July 9th at 10 AM Pacific Time, when the Steam Summer Sale ends. If you miss your chance to grab Neon White during the sale, it would seem this bundle has you covered.

Game number four offers a potential answer to the age-old question: “Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do | Whatcha gonna do when they simulate you?” I can’t shake the feeling I’ve gotten those Inner Circle lyrics wrong, but I’m probably just overthinking it. Anyway, what we’ve got here is Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, developed by Aesir Interactive and published by Astragon Entertainment. Police Simulator: Patrol Officers does exactly what it says on the tin: It’ll have you “join the police force of the fictitious American city of Brighton and experience the day-to-day life of a police officer.”

Following that, game number five is Drop Duchy: Complete Edition, developed by Sleepy Mill Studio and published by The Arcade Crew. As noted, this is the complete edition, which includes the base game, the soundtrack, and the “The North” and “The Tribe” downloadable content packs. In Drop Duchy, you’ll have to “use block-dropping mechanics to collect resources, recruit troops to fight against belligerent armies, and let every block shape your realm, leading your path to victory.” Well, I do quite enjoy seeing my enemies “Drop” to their knees before me, whether or not I’m in charge of a Duchy.

I’ve just looked at the local weather forecast in my hometown, and seeing several consecutive days of triple-digit temperatures makes me want to call our next game “Wishful Thinking: The Video Game.” In reality, though, it’s Sledders, developed by Hanki Games and published by Bonus Stage Publishing. Sledders purports to feature “deep snow snowmobiling with real physics” where you can “ride licensed sleds from Lynx, Polaris, and Ski-Doo across massive open backcountry maps. Find your own lines, climb steep mountains, ride with friends online, and chase the perfect run in untouched powder.” What I wouldn’t give to be waist-deep in snow right about now!

The penultimate game in this month’s bundle is Dicefolk, developed by LEAP Game Studios and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment. Dicefolk presents itself as a “tactical roguelite adventure” in which you play as a “Chimera Summoner” who can “wield magical dice, recruit and create your perfect team of mythical beasts, and command them to victory using unique dice mechanics.” I have no experience with Dicefolk, so I must say that sounds a lot like Pokémon with mythology and more overt dice-rolling. I mean that as a particularly high compliment. Dicefolk has certainly piqued my interest, whether or not my hunch is correct.

Last up on the stage today is Our Adventurer Guild, developed and published by GreenGuy. As its title suggests, Our Adventurer Guild will see you “become the new Guild Master of the Adventurer Guild and lead your adventurers in explorations and turn-based tactical battles.” You’ll have to ask yourself frequently, “Will the Guild thrive under your leadership? Or will it finally disband under it?” I, personally, probably couldn’t handle the pressure of making a decision like that, which is likely one reason why I’m not exactly fit to lead an adventurers’ guild. I’ll be back when August’s bundle launches, folks!
