I won’t lie, the majority of press releases are for things you’ll never want to hear about; then you get odd little emails that instantly result in another addition to your wishlist. That’s exactly what happened with Polish developer Paradark Studio and its upcoming game, ExeKiller, a “post-apocalyptic alternate timeline” retro-futuristic Western FPS. Albeit looking like (in terms of visual style) a cross between the booney parts of Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout, somehow. However, yesterday the studio announced a publishing partnership with publisher 505 Games. Here is what the press release says about the partnership:

505 Games and Polish independent developer Paradark Studio today announced a publishing partnership for ExeKiller, the upcoming single-player action-adventure game that combines retro-futuristic cyberpunk aesthetics with the lawless spirit of the Wild West.

As part of the agreement, 505 Games will publish ExeKiller on PC via Steam, supporting Paradark Studio in bringing its ambitious vision to players worldwide.”

On gameplay, the press release notes: “ExeKiller is a single-player action-adventure retro-futuristic western that places narrative, player choice, and consequence at the heart of its experience. Set in a post-apocalyptic America, where futuristic technology collides with a desertified world in despair, the player takes the role of bounty hunter, Denzel Fenix, the eponymous ExeKiller, and invites players into a world shaped by scarcity, survival, and difficult decisions. Through exploration, combat, investigation, and dialogue, players will forge their own path across a harsh and unpredictable frontier.

In ExeKiller, every choice carries weight. Players will encounter a cast of memorable characters, navigate morally complex situations, and uncover mysteries hidden beneath a world where advanced technology and frontier justice coexist. Decisions made throughout the journey will influence relationships, outcomes, and the fate of those who inhabit this fractured landscape.

As you might have guessed, there is no release date as of yet for ExeKiller, and I would hazard a guess that it isn’t going to come up in a month or two. I’m excited to see more from ExeKiller in the coming months/year or so, and see what Paradark Studio does with the idea. As you might guess with a studio’s first title, there is no note of a console port as of yet, but you can wishlist ExeKiller on Steam right now.
