In just a few short hours, the Summer Game Fest main showcase will be taking place. However, yesterday, the Summer Game Fest itself kicked off with a few smaller showcases, one of which I enjoy covering every year. The Latin American Games Showcase spotlights new and upcoming games from developers in Latin American countries. We’ve got a lot to cover, so let’s get to it, shall we?

The showcase started with a new trailer for Tenebris Somnia, a survival horror game with live-action elements. The new trailer shows how the development team at Saibot Studios blends pixel art gameplay with terrifying live-action setpieces to create a different kind of horror. We don’t have a release date yet, but Tenebris Somnia will be released on PC and all major console platforms.

Next was a world premiere from a Colombian development studio. Bunraku is a fighting game in the Smash Bros. style for up to 8 players, stylized on a Kabuki Theater arena. You can enjoy a playtest now, until June 14th, on Steam.

Then a trailer for Skills & Raids came up, a Darkest Dungeon-esque RPG with real-time combat. The animal warriors are kind of cute. I mean, who wouldn’t want to fight as a turtle named Shelldon? Skills & Raids is coming on July 27th, 2026, and you can Wishlist it now on Steam.

Void’s Rage was next on the trailer list, showcasing a hyperactive action game from developer Exotheric Bugs. We don’t have a release date yet, but it will be coming to PC, and you can wishlist it now.

Next up was a fast-paced Action Rogue-like mixing a Paper Mario aesthetic with multiplayer action. Castlebound is coming in Q4 2026 on Steam and Nintendo Switch platforms. We don’t have a firmer release date, though, as the game is currently on Kickstarter.

I don’t know what it is about frogs, but they enter the detective profession almost as often as ducks. Beyond Tales Interactive’s Croak & Solve puts you in the role of a detective frog, solving a variety of crimes and mysteries. We don’t have a release date for this one, but I’m very excited for it.

Looking for something you can play now? Eterspire is a cozy, old-school MMORPG available on PC and mobile devices. Join the adventurer’s guild to go on quests and take on monsters. It isn’t really my thing, but I know a lot of folks will enjoy it.

As for something we’ve seen before, Gunny Ascend is coming in Q3 of 2026 for PC and Xbox platforms. It is a puzzle game with platforming and block-placing elements. Think BomberMan and Tetris having some interesting baby. We don’t have a firm launch date yet, but it looks interesting enough.

As for another game without a firm launch date until now, Minegeon Renegades is coming to Steam this year. It looks like a multiplayer, run and gun, mine and survive sort of game. Each time you die, you return home and build your base up a little more. Minegeon Renegades is coming to Steam on July 14th, 2026.

Mudtek’s Dimraeth also got a solid trailer, showcasing multiplayer action and survival coming to PC in Q3 2026. It looks cool, and the pixel art is crisp and clean. A lot of folks will enjoy it when it comes later this year; it has that Terraria or Starbound feel. Also, you can play a demo now.

The next world premiere was for Leap Game Studios’ upcoming multiplayer game, Peer Pressure. Explore in a submarine with your friends, in a game similar to Lethal Company or Repo. You’ll have to patch leaks, manage oxygen, and contend with monsters. Peer Pressure doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is coming to PC.

Another world premiere came next from the former lead pixel artist of Fields of Mistria, Lotovik. Ornament Tower is a pixel-art puzzle game where you play as two foxes trying to explore a forbidden tower to get their “original bodies back.” Ornament Tower doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is coming to PC and looks really interesting.

The next trailer was for an incremental space mining game called Ship Miner. Travel through space, mining materials and exploring various areas. Ship Miner is coming to Early Access on November 26th on PC. There is a demo available now.

Block Block Block is a game about building tiny rooms. From tiny bedrooms to tiny cafes, you can place items, size them, and decorate to your heart’s desire. Block Block Block is coming on August 5th on PC. You can play a demo now.

Sente is a turn-based strategy game where you try to simultaneously take spaces, sort of like Chinese checkers but in real time. You can play the demo now and play with up to 6 players. There’s no release date beyond Q3 2026, though.

We saw a trailer for Bulbo’s Belief System a year or so ago, but it is nice to see it pop up again. This new trailer shows even more polish, and a November 2026 release window. I’m pretty excited to explore  Bulbo’s adventures on PC.

Charming Hill is an intriguing sandbox that lets you build paintings with various assets and elements. From backgrounds to trees and even houses, Charming Hill lets you craft a painterly world of your own design. It is coming in Q3 of 2026, and I am absolutely interested. You can play a demo now on Steam.

Do you like games like Dorfromantik? How would you like to rebuild Hell? Yes, I know those are wild questions paired together, but Canvas Infernum asks them in a new Rogue-like tile-builder. I’m very intrigued, as the Rogue-like progression seems pretty deep. Sadly, there’s no official release date yet, but it is coming to PC, so that’s something.

From Hell to diggy time, we have a new trailer for You Know the Drill. We’ve seen this before: an incremental digging game that looks pretty polished thus far. There is a demo available, and you can pick up You Know the Drill now on Steam!

Next was a trailer for Kosenki, a stylish and interesting-looking action game. Dripping with Japanese aesthetics and slight horror elements, Kosenki looks really cool. A playtest for Kosenki is available until June 28th, though we don’t have a firm release date yet.

Soundgrass Studio’s Soundgrass is a unique game where sound and music are your core gameplay mechanics. We’ve seen this one before, but this trailer offered a deeper dive into the mechanics. You can wishlist it now on Steam, but there isn’t a release date yet.

Coming in Q1 of 2027, Quantum Quartz is a platformer that lets you control the platforms you jump on. You’ll use them to avoid hazards or change the way you progress. It looks interesting, and the pixel art is really crisp. You can play a demo now.

Another game to keep an eye on is Heaven Crawler, set to release in Q1 of 2027. My first instinct is to give it “Team Ico” vibes, in that you play as a young child with spider limbs, exploring a world with beautiful visuals. Heaven Crawler is now on Kickstarter.

Torii: Beyond the Gates has a very Okami-ish vibe. It seems to be a Metroidvania where you explore a vast world, gaining abilities as you go. Torii: Beyond the Gates is set to release on PC in Q3 of 2026, but so far, we don’t have a firmer launch date than that. You can play a demo now though.

Next was a segment for games playable now, starting with A Tale of Silent Depths. This is a haunting, underwater exploration game where you command a submarine and battle terrifying creatures.

Beat the Champions is a Soccer (sorry, Football) arcade game where wild and insane abilities, fast matches, and more are on display. Beat the Champions is available on all major platforms.

Roadout is a Post-apocalyptic action RPG that collides with a racing game. On the road, you race others for the glory, but that merges with deadly dungeons where you fight enemies and scavenge to upgrade yourself and your car. You can play Roadout now on all major platforms.

On the deckbuilder side of things, Litany had an announcement trailer. Litany is centered around making “impossible” combos and wild synergies. The demo for Litany is available now, and I’m pretty interested in checking it out. There’s no official release date yet though.

The next horror game was T.W.I.R.L., which seems to be a tale going through the suppressed childhood memories of a young woman. It is set to release in Q3 of this year, but we don’t have a full release date yet. You can wishlist it now.

Back to World Premieres, we had a trailer for Moonlight Pale. The trailer was a beautifully animated, creepy sort of affair, and Moonlight Pale seems to be in the style of classic RPG Maker horror. Moonlight Pale is slated for Q1 2027 on Steam, and you can support them on Kickstarter now as well.

Alone: Mnemophobia seems to be a horror game that learns from your choices and playstyle, which sounds absolutely terrifying. It is set to be released in Q2 of 2027, and you can wishlist it now. I’m torn between curiosity and complete anxiety about it just from the trailer, which means the devs are doing something right.

Keeping with the horror theme, Desktop Explorer is a horror-puzzler where you explore a desktop with all kinds of hidden files in it. There’s something more beneath the surface though, and just ignore that feeling of being watched eh? Desktop Explorer is being released on July 17th, 2026, on Steam.

Hollow Stories: Lockdown is one we’ve seen before and has a very Survival Horror/Silent Hill vibe to it. It looks really good in that PSX way, but we don’t know exactly when this year we’ll get it beyond a Q4 2026 launch date. You can wishlist it now, though, and play the new demo.

Drifting away from horror, our next segment started with Bruma, an emotional game where you play a cat collecting its owner’s memories. There’s no announced release for Bruma, but it is coming to PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms. You can play the demo now on Steam.

It is being released on September 16th, 2026, on PC and has all kinds of wild guns available. A 6-level demo is available now, and it will include Steam Workshop Support at launch. Honestly, it looks like a ton of chaotic fun.

Continuing the weird and fun games, Caravana 2000 is a shooter (I think?) involving a clown, dancing chairs, and more. Honestly, it is easier to let the trailer speak for itself on this one. You can playtest Caravana 2000 now on Steam.
