Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered (PC) – Review

There are just some games you don’t pass up on reviewing, especially when that game is a PS3/360-era action game written by Suda51, produced by Shinji Mikami, and Akira Yamaoka throws a couple of instruments across the room. Suda51 most notably helmed…

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II (PC) Review

The fight for the Emperor has made its triumphant return with the arrival of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. Many of my friends and I got excited when Space Marine II was first announced, so it is quite something to finally have…

Albatroz (PC) – Review

Paced like an artsy-fartsy emotional piece about teenagers who want to touch each other, Albatroz is odd. You play as Isla, a young American woman who has gotten bored on the 9-5, and instead of doing the sane thing (like getting a…

Super Mario Party Jamboree (Switch) Review

Nintendo’s long history means there are certain series central to the company’s history that I haven’t played from the start. Mario Party, however, is a series I’ve played and loved for years. Okay, and sometimes I’ve hated it. It’s not just the…

Star Trek: Picard “Surrender” – Review

You will surrender, surrender to the… we’ll leave that for a while. Still directed by Deborah Kampmeier, there isn’t much to say there that hasn’t already been said. While “Surrender” is written by someone I’ve bemoaned multiple times over in a previous…

Diplomacy is Not an Option (PC) – Review

Given the number of times I said “Epic” when reviewing God of War Ragnarök, my love towards Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the good one), and my general liking towards Battlefield 2042, I like things with large scale. Cue to an obvious joke…

Wilmot Works it Out (PC) Review

When I was young, my mother tried to share her love of jigsaw puzzles with me. I didn’t quite get it as a hyperactive kid, the idea of sitting still, sorting out the corner pieces, and then figuring out the picture as…

Rogue Flight (PS5) Review

For a kid that grew up with Star Fox 64, there seems to be a shortage in the nostalgia department for this style of game. Space combat gameplay is exhilarating, satisfying, and rewarding, and was a large attraction at arcades for decades, so…

Metaphor: ReFantazio (PC) Review

It is rare that I review a game from a new IP and find myself thoroughly impressed. This is specifically the case when a game is made by developers I already like. Crafted by the teams behind the Shin Megami Tensei and…

Europa (PC) Review

Some of the best stories in gaming are told in short-form, high-effort mediums, and I go out of my way to track them all down. Gone Home, Last Day of June, Before Your Eyes, and tons more have had a profound emotional effect on…
