Recently, I have really been enjoying the rise of these “Cleaning” games. Not just things like PowerWash Simulator, but the games where you clean and sort items, such as Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library. Now, a new contender is on its way, with a fresh demo ahead of Steam Next Fest.

Additionally, Cluttermancer: Tidy Up the Nightmare Alley has gotten an Early Access release date for October 30th. Today, you’ll be able to play the demo as part of Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 19th – 26th. Here is what the press release says about Cluttermancer:

“Ahead of Steam Next Fest (starting October 19), Ivy Juice and SethMadDev are releasing the free demo of Cluttermancer: Tidy Up the Nightmare Alley on October 17 at 6 PM CEST, and confirming the Early Access launch on October 30, 2026.

Cluttermancer is a first-person organization sim set in the same universe as My Little Cafe Nightmare, SethMadDev’s debut, which Ivy Juice published and which has sold 15,000 copies to date. This time the two studios are co-developing the game, with Ivy Juice again publishing.

Players take on the impossible task of sorting and shelving strange magical wares across a bustling, crooked alley of shops. Wands hum. Tomes whisper. Every correctly shelved item brings a little more order to a street that’s never quite been tidy… and never quite been explained. The demo opens the first shop, Early Access launches with two, and more shops will follow during Early Access. The full alley holds five shops and more than 6,666 items: Wands, books, potions, gravestones, and (stolen) coffee cups.”

I’m really curious to see more of Cluttermancer. I’m torn between playing the demo now or sinking deep into cozy cleaning on October 30th. It’ll depend on what my schedule is like, I think, since there are some fun reviews in the works. Either way, cozy cleaning enthusiasts have some fun stuff to look forward to with Cluttermancer: Tidy Up the Nightmare Alley.
