The Steam marketplace has plenty of games to satisfy a dedicated deck-building fan. There’s also no shortage of roguelikes either. Mix in games where you map out the development of a town, and these distinct genres and game types can keep you busy for hours and hours. Throw all three into a pixel-style experience, and it might become one of the great games to close out 2026 when it launches in December. Let’s talk about the game Town of Tinysville, from solo developer 7Seven Studios.

Town of Tinysville is a deck-building roguelike set on tiny maps with the goal of crafting the best city possible. Players need to place buildings, master powerful synergies, and grow their deck as well as their little pixel-art utopia. While the game doesn’t feature combat, the challenge lies in optimizing growth, balancing synergies, and adapting to an ever-changing town layout thanks to roguelike systems that offer unlimited gameplay experiences. I’m getting heavy “one more turn” vibes from this one, and it should nail what the solo dev is saying in its description.
Speaking of replayability, the size and scope of this game seem promising. Players can work within the constraints and shapes of 12 different towns, each of which can be traversed at seven difficulty levels. Over two dozen buildings, laws to enforce and follow, and 120 landmarks to place strategically help you build a city that keeps your run going. Over 250 cards that show up at random keep you from feeling like you’ve seen the game after a few successful deep runs. Plus, its simple yet compelling pixel-style art is easy on the eyes.

There seem to be a lot of great ways to mix up what your attempt at the perfect metropolis might look like. For example, when you clear sections of the map to build more, you may find you’re eliminating resources you’ll need later. Plus, there are chance cards that can impact how you’re going to navigate your deck and its strengths, as well as its weaknesses, as the challenge to continue your expansion grows stronger. Coming at the end of the year, I think there’s a good chance Town of Tinysville could surprise a lot of people and become a mainstay in Steam libraries over the winter holidays.
Town of Tinysville launches on Steam on December 4. Wishlist the game now so it stays on your radar.
