Cozy Caravan (Nintendo Switch) Review

A gaming resolution I set for myself in 2026 was to seek out games that I enjoy playing. Sounds simple, right? Beyond review duties here at Phenixx Gaming, I also make it a personal goal to play the games everyone is talking…

Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven (PC) Review

It has been some time since I played Cult of the Lamb. I took a break after I finished off the original series on my Nintendo Switch, and while I played it a little bit on PC afterward, I stopped playing to…

The Spirit Lift (PC) Review

Before I knew anything about The Spirit Lift beyond its title, I was planning to open this review with a pun about an elevator that’s only usable by ghosts. As it turns out, that’s (almost) exactly what The Spirit Lift is about.…

Ugly Betty “Lose the Boss” – Review

“Today, she’s the boss.” Directed by Ken Whittingham, he’s best known for directing 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Entourage, The Office, and Scrubs. It turns out two out of five is bad. This being Whittingham’s one and only episode of Ugly Betty.…

Trails Beyond the Horizon (PC) Review

I’ve been a fan of the Trails franchise for a long time. Nihon Falcom’s RPG series sets itself apart from many others, weaving a tale across many games via a living and breathing continent. You experience the history of an array of…

Ugly Betty “Four Thanksgivings and a Funeral” – Review

Is he still a himbo? I hadn’t noticed. After writing “Queens for a Day,” Marco Pennette returns for his second of six episodes, the same number of episodes he’ll go on to write for Desperate Housewives. Director Sarah Pia Anderson makes her only appearance…

Synth Riders (Nintendo Switch) Review

Many VR experiences use the peripheral to create a unique experience that players can’t get anywhere else. Sometimes, we’ve seen traditional games make the jump to VR and not necessarily translate as well as we’d hope. The inverse, a VR game becoming…

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion (Switch 2) Review

In 2019, Daemon X Machina released on Nintendo Switch to fairly positive reviews, only to improve over time with post-launch content and updates. Any developer that hits and misses elements of their first entry in a series can only hope to get another shot…
