I have been curious about the Plague Tale franchise, though they have largely passed me by. However, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy really caught my attention, and its August release is set to fill a gap in my schedule that may give me a chance to cover it. Now, the developers at Asobo Studio, along with Focus Entertainment, have revealed some spicy new details for its release.

Specifically, the dev team and publisher have revealed new details for the “Collector’s Box” for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. This unique experience set prior to the other Plague Tale games now has a collector’s box that includes an exclusive figurine, replica ring, steelbook case, and 3 art prints.

Unfortunately, this collector’s edition box is only available (currently) in Europe, while North America and Asia will get the option to get hold of it at a later date. Here is what the press release says about this reveal:

“Focus Entertainment, Asobo Studio and their partner Neamedia Icons today unveil the exclusive Collector’s Box for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, the prequel to the beloved A Plague Tale series, set for release on August 27, 2026.

In Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, players step into the shoes of Sophia, a young plunderer searching for her origins and answers about her past on the mysterious island of the Minotaur.

On this enigmatic island, players will also get the chance to play as Theseus, a mysterious Minoan warrior who is fighting the evil plaguing the land. An evil to which they both seem deeply connected… This Collector’s Box beautifully showcases the unique bond between Sophia and Theseus, both bound by an ancient curse.”

It is a little strange that the collector’s box won’t be available until October in Europe and presumably later for other regions. However, the art and figurine look beautiful, so hopefully the quality is pretty solid. Regardless, I’m excited for the August release date for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.
