Constance (Nintendo Switch) Review

I believe Metroidvania games resonate so strongly with players because of their input-oriented design. Some games feel like they’re letting you steer the experience with safeguards, and others let you feel like you’re playing a supporting role in a movie. Games like Constance,…

Mouse: P.I. for Hire (PC) Review

Ah, now here’s a game I was really hoping I’d get to review. Given its reputation and “overwhelmingly positive” Steam reviews, I think this is a game that needs little (if any) introduction. What we’ve got here is Mouse: P.I. for Hire,…

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth (PC) Review

It is rare that I find a game that nails everything it sets out to do. I missed out on playing Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, so when I saw the trailer for Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth, I immediately knew I needed to play…

Ranger’s Path: National Park Simulator (PC) – Preview

Now, in theory, one of the most respected jobs in the US should be a US Park Ranger, but morons keep shutting the government down, and they don’t get paid. Now I love a “shonky” simulator, and publisher Astragon Entertainment is one…

Caromble! (PC) Review

During my visits to the Pinball Hall of Fame, I discovered I’m a bit of a “pinball wizard,” as The Who would say. Unlike Tommy, I’m certainly not good enough at pinball to play it solely by sense of smell, but I…

Planet of Lana II (PC) – Review

It’s been 3 years since the release of Planet of Lana, and occasionally, I am still thinking about it when I see the odd side-scrolling puzzle platformer in that Inside-vein. A few years on, Wishfully and Thunderful Publishing are back with another…

UnderMine 2 (PC) Preview

I spent a lot of time with the original UnderMine. At the time of writing this article, I have over 300 hours on PC, and that’s not including the hundreds of hours I spent with it on my Nintendo Switch. Naturally, when…

Ereban: Shadow Legacy (PS5) Review

Many months ago, while looking through the list of upcoming games, I came across a special physical edition of Ereban: Shadow Legacy. At first glance, I assumed this must be some sort of remastered game, but it turns out it is an…
