Do you like building things? Do you like model painting or creating things from scratch? If the answer to any of that is yes, then Casa Rara’s debut title Mini Maker: Make a Thing should interest you. Set to release in 2022, Mini Maker is a “scrappy workshop simulator” that lets you design things your way.

Here is what the press release says about Mini Maker: Make a Thing. “A hero thing, a monster thing, a Robo thing… in Mini Maker, you can make any ‘thing’! Use an arsenal of plastic limbs, wonky tools, rainbow stickers, and googly eyes to assemble creations, please demanding clients, and laugh in the face of good taste, in a wonderfully wonky workshop sim where nothing is perfect but everything is ‘good enough’!

Creative Director Ruben Farrus also commented on the upcoming release, stating: “Mini Maker is all about learning to love mistakes. ‘If you’re the kind of person who tries to do everything perfectly, you need this game! And by you, I mean me. I am a terrible perfectionist. I need this game.”

The reason Farrus says this, is because one of the highlights of the game’s features is a lack of undo option. Much like building models and whatnot in real life, once you make a decision you wind up having to commit to it. No undo options are allowed, so it requires a certain level of flexibility to make the most of your mistakes.

Complete commissions for clients in single-player or two-player couch co-op, buy upgrades, share your creations online, and more. Mini Maker: Make a Thing is going to give creative types plenty to work with when it releases on Steam in 2022. I’m personally pretty excited to check it out, so hopefully, we’ll see a demo or something sometime soon.
