Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Actually… just trains. What am I on about, you ask? A new city-builder has just launched on Steam, and if you like trains, you’re in luck.
Publisher Crytivo, together with developer SoulAge23, has released Steel Artery: Train City Builder on Steam. Steel Artery is a City-Builder set in a Steampunk world where cities are built entirely on rails. Here is what the press release has to say about Steel Artery:

“Crytivo, together with solo developer SoulAge23, is happy to announce that Steel Artery: Train City Builder is now available on Steam for PC.
Steel Artery is a city-building and management simulation set in a steampunk fantasy world where players construct, expand, and manage a living city built entirely on rails.

Players oversee thousands of autonomous citizens, maintain a functioning economy, manage logistics, explore distant regions, and balance the needs of multiple races[,] including humans, elves, and orcs, all while keeping a moving civilization operational.
Explore distant regions and make strategic expansion decisions.

Manage humans, elves, orcs, and the social pressure that comes with a crowded city on rails.”
The steam page also adds a bit of interesting information, stating: “Once upon a time, the Empire built the legendary Steelpolis, a colossal train that showcased technological power, economic dominance, and authority. It traveled across vast provinces, enforcing order, collecting tribute, and dazzling the masses.

But now, the Empire’s treasury is empty, its lands fractured, and its infrastructure on the brink of collapse. To save it, the Emperor revives the abandoned project—and you are appointed as the mayor of this reborn city on rails.
Unlike traditional city-builders, you do not give direct commands. Citizens are autonomous, driven by their own needs and choices. They work, eat, rest, and spend money based on their own choices and circumstances. A worker may refuse a faraway job, quit after earning enough gold, or pick a new profession entirely. You provide opportunities — they shape their lives.”

I love a good City-Builder, and this seems to be an interesting twist. I’m really curious to see if Steam Artery is as unique as it seems. Check out Steam Artery on Steam now; it is definitely going on my wishlist.
