It’s fair to say that skate. Early Access hasn’t been flawless, but I’m still enjoying the experience. While EA works to fine-tune its extreme sports live-service game, the countdown to Season Two is on, and we have some details about what to expect. From new features that make it easier and more engaging to play with friends to additional tracks, tricks, and spaces to skate, there’s a good bit on the way. Plus, if you’re eager to get your hands on new items for your character, more is coming in that realm as well. Here’s our full rundown of everything coming in skate. Season Two explained.

Leading the new features in skate. Season Two is the game mode called Own the Lot. Inspired by Own the Spot from the original games, you’ll work against the clock to complete as many Reqs as possible with a team. To knock out all the Reqs, you’ll need to communicate with your partners, which is a perfect reason for the devs to finally introduce Party Voice Chat and a slew of new accessibility features. You can expect accessibility features for Party VC, including Menu Narration, Text-to-Speech, and Speech-to-Text. With five tiers to Own the Lot corresponding to a number of Tix earned for unlockables, it’ll be a good way to progress your character’s wardrobe and deck.

In terms of new tricks, expanded handplants and a host of new flips are on the way in skate. Season Two. A slew of new impossible flips, including variations for nollies and grind transitions, are going to be a lot of fun to explore. There are also 16 handplant variations now, which will be a blast to master. Doing so will be worth documenting with the all-new updates to Replay Editor. The Advanced Editor mode will bring enhanced trimming, keyframes, interpolating between camera types & camera targets, and framing options like roll, tilt, and offset. With new daily, weekly, monthly, and event challenges on the way, there will be a lot of reasons to run it back with a sick replay.

New options for both the premium version of the Season Two cosmetics and the free tier will help to freshen up your wardrobe. Additionally, there will be new events tied to the seasons, including Winter Roll-stice and Spring Pop-Off. These events will carry us through the end of Season Two, which wraps up on March 3rd, 2026. There are a lot of things to do in between then, including enjoying new music from the 1980s, checking out new areas, and playing with friends more conveniently than before.
