Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PC) Review

Full disclosure: I never had the opportunity to play the original game of Kingdoms of Amalur. In other words, this isn’t going to be a game of “which version did it better?” Also yes, I did roll my eyes on the inside…

Doctor Who Series 3 “Blink” – Review

I don’t care who you are, what you believe, or why you hold that belief to be the true one. It is wrong! That is unless that belief is a shared understanding of what is the most horrifying monster in the universe.…

WWE 2K Battlegrounds (Xbox One) – Review

Wrestling always has been, and always will be, a complete and utter mess of fandoms housed in straw homes. This is either based on a single wrestler being perfect, a promotion being the best, or specific eras of wrestling being any greater…

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (PS4) Review

I’m a huge fan of Vanillaware’s games, particularly Odin Sphere (and Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir by extension) and Muramasa: The Demon Blade. BPM: Bullets Per Minute is a recent rhythm-based rogue-like shooter from UK-based developer Awe Interactive. It offers compelling gameplay ideas and a soundtrack that should attract fans of rock opera, then grinds to a rather dizzying halt. When I first saw the…

Doctor Who “Human Nature” & “Family of Blood” – Review

I won’t lie, as a kid, I didn’t really enjoy “Human Nature” & “Family of Blood.” I’ve always understood it to be very well written, but there was just something about being a kid and the length of the episode. I’d just…

Serious Sam 4 (PC) Review

As a connoisseur of the FPS genre, I welcome all variations of the genre, but still enjoy ones that are basic to the core. Whether it’s the looting frenzy that is Borderlands, the rhythm spin of BPM: Bullets Per Minute, or the…
