Cathedral: Crow’s Curse gets New Trailer

I love action-adventure games. Years of things like classic Castlevania (before the more recent Metroidvania-style titles), games like Gauntlet, and other action-adventure titles filled many hours of my childhood. Now, the developers of Cathedral have revealed new details on their upcoming release, Cathedral: Crow’s Curse.

Decemberborn Interactive just dropped a brand-new trailer for Cathedral: Crow’s Curse, the prequel to their previous title, Cathedral. We don’t have a release date for Crow’s Curse yet, but the new trailer showed off some gameplay. Here is what the press release says about Crow’s Curse:

“Independent Swedish developer Decemberborn Interactive has revealed a brand-new trailer for Cathedral: Crow’s Curse, the upcoming action-adventure prequel set in the world of Cathedral. The trailer premiered during the Convergence Showcase, an online event celebrating some of the most exciting upcoming AA and indie games.

Cathedral: Crow’s Curse expands the world of Cathedral with a new story centered around Crow, a skilled Shade Sentinel first introduced as an NPC in Cathedral. As the balance of the Shade Forest begins to unravel, Crow must venture through cursed woods and forgotten ancient ruins to uncover the roots of the Sentinel order and confront the dark forces threatening its existence.

Combining tight combat, exploration, and atmospheric storytelling, Cathedral: Crow’s Curse invites players to experience a forgotten chapter of the Cathedral universe. The game builds on the original’s foundations while introducing new locations, abilities, and challenges as players uncover the mysteries surrounding the Shade Sentinels.”

This gives me plenty of excuses to dive into the first game, before the release of Cathedral: Crow’s Curse. Of course, as previously mentioned, we still don’t have a release date for Crow’s Curse, but there is plenty to look forward to just from this trailer alone. Here’s hoping we find out more about a release date soon.
