I am a sucker for simple narrative games about placing things around a home. I adore and love Unpacking, and unsurprisingly, there have been a raft of games of a similar cozy vibe. The latest of this vein is Fat Alien Cat and Nomo Studio’s Momento. Now it seems we’ve got a release window for the upcoming cozy room decorator. Here is what the press release has to say:

“Grab your favourite childhood photos and get comfy for a trip down memory lane! Silver Lining Interactive, Fat Alien Cat, and Nomo Studio have confirmed that Momento, a cozy decorating game with a twist, is launching this June. The excitement doesn’t stop there: The Xbox Series X/S release has just been announced, and store pages are live right now! While the exact launch date remains a secret for now, players can wishlist the game on their preferred platform to be the first to know when it drops. Keep an eye out: The full reveal might be closer than it appears!“

Taking a wild guess, there are several showcases on the horizon in June, and one of them is rather… Wholesome. As I say, that’s the wild guess. The other would be sometime before then, but there are no real hints as to when we’ll be seeing Momento release.

Describing the game, the press release notes: “In Momento, players begin in a childhood bedroom. Unlike traditional decorators, the objects you choose to keep or discard will ripple across the future, leading the protagonist down wildly different life paths. Developed by a passionate team of three parents from Brisbane, Australia, Momento is a ‘zen’ experience designed to be played at your own pace. Players can enjoy the story or lose themselves in the endless creative mode, matching everybody’s preferred playstyles.”

While there is no release date set just yet, you can pre-order Momento‘s physical edition for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Nothing on Xbox platforms yet, or word if they’ll appear at a later date, though, as mentioned above, Momento will release for Xbox. You can also wishlist Momento on Steam right now, ahead of the announcement of its June release date.
