I’m a massive Game of Thrones fan, and one element of the franchise that has never quite been nailed down is gaming adaptations. There are decent offerings in the illustrious IPs’ past that have satisfied some of what I’m looking for, but a new mobile game from Warner Bros. Games has great potential. Here’s what we know so far about Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, based on the George R.R. Martin universe, and more specifically, House of the Dragon.

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire aims to offer a social strategy mobile gaming experience similar to many of the biggest games on the iOS and Google Play stores. One major advantage? They have the Game of Thrones IP. Dragonfire will offer players tactical warfare engagements, territorial expansion opportunities, and the unrivaled power of dragons to attempt to take over the Seven Kingdoms. From the trailer you can watch below, it seems like there’s some great TRPG elements with the hexagon-shaped map and opportunities to deep dive your strategy in hatching eggs and hunting with your winged warriors.
Drawing inspiration from events portrayed in House of the Dragon, players will experience a new narrative as a Valyrian descendant tasked with hatching, raising, and flying dragons. Fans will encounter both familiar faces and original characters, form alliances and factions with other players, and engage in tactical battles to become a true dragonrider and dominant force in Westeros.

Players can pre-register now for Game of Thrones: Dragonfire on the App Store or Google Play stores to reach milestones and unlock exclusive rewards at launch, including in-game currency and a rare dragon. Let us know in the comments if you’re planning to check this one out when it launches!
