When my friends or family who love video games want to dive into tabletop experiences, Dice Throne is one of my first recommendations. The hit dice-and-card battle game has made waves since its launch in 2017, and has even collaborated with Marvel on its way to mainstream popularity. Dice Throne and indie games studio Nerd Ninjas are now set to launch the video game version of the battle game experience with Dice Throne Digital. Here’s what you need to know about this exciting project!

Dice Throne Digital will translate the tabletop dice and card game for mobile platforms, including iOS and Android, as well as Steam and Meta Quest. The game features fast-paced strategy battles where you step into the role of one of the game’s Heroes and face opponents. The thing I love about Dice Throne is that you’re always a card or die roll away from a complete twist on your strategy or tactics, making each game completely unique. That also means you’re essentially playing a game that can be replayed endlessly.

Set to release on April 14, 2026, the game’s progress is being tracked on the Dice Throne Digital Kickstarter, which players can back for exclusive incentives and the latest updates. “Dice Throne Digital has been a dream since the very beginning, and we can’t wait for players to get their hands on it. From the beginning of development, one of our top priorities was cross-platform play. 
” It is important to us that players can take their favorite heroes and battle on mobile, PC, or even Meta from day one,” says Nate Chantellier, co-creator of Dice Throne and founder/CEO of Nerd Ninjas, in the game’s press release announcement.

The game will be cross-platform from day one on all supported platforms. This will allow friends to battle one another regardless of where they are playing, including on Meta Quest.
