The collection includes the Sonic the Hedgehog Mighty Player $119.99 USD and the Sonic the Hedgehog Joystick Player set at $59.99 USD. With this exciting new lineup available now at select retailers, My Arcade continues its mission of bringing retro gaming to a modern audience while honoring SEGA’s legendary gaming legacy. The Mighty Player includes four great Sonic games, including Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic Spinball, and Sonic 3D Blast. You’ll experience those on a 3.5” full color display that might seem small in theory but looks great in person. I’ve played the Street Fighter version of these My Arcade machines and they’re impressive.

You’ll get up to six hours of playtime with a rechargeable battery, but with the Joystick Player, you can also use 4 AA batteries to keep the game going. On that Joystick Player, you’ll also only get Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic The Hedgehog 2. With the popularity of the movies, plus really great modern releases for the franchise, Sonic love seems stronger than ever. It’s exciting to see this gaming icon continue to thrive, even if the likes of Mario seem to continue to reign supreme.
