October’s Humble Choice bundle is now upon us, folks. This bundle recently went live, so you’ve got plenty of time to buy it if you want it. October’s Humble Choice bundle will be available until Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific Time or your regional equivalent. As usual, we’ve got a list of eight games to contend with, plus one additional bonus that may or may not interest you. Up first is what’s probably intended to be this bundle’s “headliner,” but I personally wouldn’t consider it as such based on its reviews.

It’s Atomic Heart, developed by Mundfish and published by Focus Entertainment. Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter that focuses on the rather bog-standard “humans thought they lived in a utopia with their robot servants, but now the robots have started an uprising” science fiction trope. I’m personally not really interested in that concept, but considering Atomic Heart is normally $60, you might consider this bundle to be a great deal because it’ll give you Atomic Heart and seven other games. I wanted to think of a pun to end on, but the best I’ve got is “Atomic Heart-burn.” Let’s move on.

Up next is V Rising, developed and published by Stunlock Studios. V Rising presents itself as a “unique vampiric action-adventure RPG with seamlessly integrated open-world exploration and castle-building mechanics” in which “you play as a powerful, cunning vampire with an endless thirst for blood, territory, and power.” The main problem you’ll face is that you’ve been dormant for so long that both your powers and your castle have disappeared, so you’ll have to gradually rebuild everything. I can’t think of a good closing pun for this one, either; the best I’ve got involves a vampire saying “we rise” in a stereotypical German accent.

If you haven’t spent your skill points carefully, the next game in the spotlight might cause quite a “shock” to your “system.” It’s the 2023 remake of System Shock, developed by Nightdive Studios and published by Atari. You might remember that the original System Shock was released all the way back in 1994. The Humble Bundle store page for this bundle rather enthusiastically claims that “players looking for a creepy sci-fi twist injected into their shooters need to start this faithful remake of System Shock now!” If your interest has been piqued, this bundle might be your best opportunity to do just that.

Game number four is Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, developed by Marvelous Inc and published by XSEED Games. To the best of my understanding, the Story of Seasons franchise has quite a complicated history involving changing titles and publishers based on whether each game was intended for a Japanese release or was localized for a worldwide launch. I won’t pretend to understand much of this franchise’s history because of details like that, but I do know it’s a rather well-liked series of story-driven farming simulator games with a healthy dose of life sim elements added in for good measure.

Next is the game I would personally consider to be this bundle’s “headliner.” It’s Cryptmaster, developed and published by Akupara Games. Cryptmaster is a party-based RPG. The twist is, both its combat and its dialogue require you to type quite a lot. Since you have the freedom to type whatever, whenever, you can make the wonderfully evil narrator say and react to nearly anything you can think of. Don’t get me wrong. I really like the RPG-focused parts of Cryptmaster’s gameplay, but hearing how the titular Cryptmaster responds when I type something naughty really puts the icing on the metaphorical cake.

Up next is Shogun Showdown, developed by Roboatino and published by Goblinz Publishing. Shogun Showdown presents itself as “an inventive turn-based combat game infused with roguelike and deck-building elements.” In it, you’ll “strategically position your shinobi across the battlefield to unleash devastating, well-timed attacks. Upgrade your attack tiles and master new combos after each defeat, using roguelike progression to push your mission forward until you finally face the shogun in the ultimate showdown.” There’s no word on whether or not that will be “the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny,” however. It seems you’ll just have to play Shogun Showdown to find out.

This bundle’s penultimate game is Hotel Renovator, developed by Two Horizons and published by Focus Entertainment. Since this is the second appearance of Focus Entertainment in this bundle, I’m starting to wonder if that’s a usual pattern in Humble Choice bundles. Regardless, Hotel Renovator does basically what it says on the tin: You’ve inherited a badly maintained hotel, and your job is to fix it up and turn it into the premier five-star destination. That’s just in the story mode, however. There’s also a sandbox mode that will allow you to renovate (read: “screw around”) to your heart’s content.

Lastly, we’ve got Caravan SandWitch, developed by Studio Plane Toast (yes, that’s apparently not “Plain”) and published by Dear Villagers. In Caravan SandWitch, you’ll “embark on a nomadic expedition across an original sci-fi world to uncover the mysteries surrounding your missing sister. Befriend and help those you meet along the way in a combat-free sandbox with no deaths and no timers – just vibes.” To me, that sounds a tiny bit like playing through your day-to-day life as an alternate universe version of the Sniper from Team Fortress 2, though I doubt the Sniper would like that “no deaths and no timers” bit.

This bundle also offers a one-month subscription to IGN Plus. If you’re interested, that will give you some perks on the website whose parent company acquired Humble Bundle back in 2017. I don’t know how long that’s been part of Humble Choice bundles, but I personally still don’t think any more highly of this inclusion than I did when it showed up in any of the past Humble Choice bundles I’ve covered. Regardless, like I said, you’ve got plenty of time to grab this bundle for yourself and/or send it as a gift to any friends who might want it.
