While I have been recovering from a recent surgery, I got pulled back into my Survivor-like addiction via Megabonk. I’ll have a review for it at some point, but for now, I’m enjoying just indulging in the fun of the “just one more run” of the genre. Now, I’m even more excited for Devil Jam, which just got an announcement for its release date.

I found out about Devil Jam back during the Summer Game Fest, and I’m very excited to see more. Developer Rogueside announced that Devil Jam will be released on PC on November 3rd, 2025. Release dates for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S will be revealed at a later date, though that is understandable since ports take a bit of time.

Here is what the press release says about Devil Jam’s launch: “As a musician longing for a better future who signs a contract with the devil, players venture down to hell and give the performance of their lives. Equipped with possessed instruments, every run in Devil Jam becomes a unique jam session: the instruments play automatically to the beat and become deadly weapons against hordes of grim enemies, rival rock stars, and fanatical groupies.

Devil Jam boasts 12 inventory slots and “more than 4.93 quadrillion” total combinations for weapon setups with items, including an array of awesome synergies. The combat is meant to be fast-paced, with hand-drawn environments meant to evoke a metal-focused vibe. Bosses are also meant to provoke skill and strategy, so each run will require you to be careful about what weapons and upgrades you choose.

I’m not about to rush through my favorite time of year (October-November), so while I’m excited for November 3rd, there’s a bit of time to just soak in the demo before it launches. You can bet I’ll be sending out a request so I can provide a review for Devil Jam, though.
