We’re entering the time of year where summer gives way to my favorite time of year, spooky season. Screw summer beaches, give me vampires, ghouls, and cooler weather. Now, the developer of Bye Sweet Carole, Little Sewing Machine, has revealed its release date, just in time for the spookiest time of year.

Little Sewing Machine, in conjunction with Meangrip Studios and Publisher Maximum Entertainment, has announced that Bye Sweet Carole is coming to PC and console platforms on October 9th, 2025. This horror title caught my attention immediately due to its resemblance to classic animation such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarves or Cinderella. Here is what the press release says about the announcement.

“Maximum Entertainment and Italian developer Little Sewing Machine, in collaboration with Meangrip Studios, are excited to announce that Bye Sweet Carole, the highly anticipated horror game inspired by classic animation movies, will launch across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and PC on October 9, 2025.

Created by renowned game designer Chris Darril (Remothered series), Bye Sweet Carole invites players into a beautifully twisted world where horror and fantasy collide. Step into the role of Lana Benton, a brave young girl determined to uncover the chilling truth behind the mysterious disappearance of her best friend, Carole, from the eerie Bunny Hall orphanage.

Encounter a vibrant cast of characters, from your loyal friend, Mr. Baesie, to the malevolent owl, Velenia, to the terrifying Mr. Kyn, and a ravenous [colony] of tar bunnies. Immerse yourself in a hand-drawn universe brought to life in this dark and fantastical world.”

Physical pre-orders are available now if that’s something you’re into. The physical edition comes with a digital soundtrack, digital artbook, and reversible coversheet for the case with exclusive artwork. I would assume that the soundtrack and artbook can be purchased separately on digital platforms, but it isn’t explicitly stated. Regardless, Bye Sweet Carole looks gorgeous, and I can’t wait to see what Chris Darril’s latest project has become.
