A cozy game needs very little to it for me to want to spend time playing it. Give me charming environments, fun characters to befriend or chat with, and plenty of quirk. Now, a game where everyone forgets it’s your birthday? Not so cozy, but a new game from In Shambles Studios promises to deliver on a cat-themed cozy adventure despite what literally sounds like my social nightmare. Here’s what we know about Catto’s Post Office. 

CULT Games is publishing Catto’s Post Office, developed by In Shambles Studios. The game stars Catto, a Postcat who lives in a town of cats that is, wouldn’t you know it, cat-themed. At the player’s own pace, control Catto and explore your kitty city by leaning into your feline urges. Knock over objects, hide in boxes, and meow to your heart’s content. The developer says it takes 1 hour to complete in its entirety, making it a quick and cute experience. 

I sort of love this trend of indie developers offering shorter experiences. For some players, that might mean questioning how worth it a purchase of a game might be if it only takes 60 minutes to beat. To that I say, you can always replay it if you enjoy its cozy nature. Also, the game is priced at $4.99 USD for its launch, with a 20% discount in its first days on sale. Sounds purr-fect to me if you want something cozy, quick, and you love cats.
