Cozy Builder Wicked Cabins Announced

I love the cozy, relaxing nature of a good building game. I also may or may not enjoy the spookiest of themes. Vampires, witches, things that go bump in the night, all of these things keep me interested. A new cozy builder has been announced that ticks all those boxes for me.

Wicked Cabins is a new “Cozy Diorama Builder” crafted by a single developer named Dariusz Pietrala. In Wicked Cabins, you create cozy getaways in spooky locales, from Transylvania to even Hell itself. Here is what the press release says about Wicked Cabins:

“From solo developer Dariusz Pietrala comes Wicked Cabins, a relaxing diorama builder where you create peaceful hideaways in the world’s most unpeaceful places. Equally eerie and heartwarming, it’s a game about transforming haunted and cursed spaces into cozy little sanctuaries. No rules. No timers. No pressure.

Whether you’re brewing tea in a mossy witch’s cottage or lighting candles in a crumbling gothic tower, Wicked Cabins offers full creative freedom to build, decorate, and imagine without interruption.

There are no monsters to fight. No puzzles to solve. Just a quiet invitation: take the darkness, and make it yours. Wicked Cabins is a calm, eerie game where you build at your own pace, a perfect fit for those who find beauty in the uncanny.”

Developer Dariusz Pietrala commented on the reveal of Wicked Cabins, stating: “Hi! I’m Dariusz Pietrala[,] and I’ve been doing games solo and with teams for a couple of years now. This game is a cool idea I had a few months ago. Hopefully it’s gonna be chillingly relaxing. More info coming soon as development continues.”

This is the perfect sort of game for me. I can’t wait to see how the development progresses, even though we don’t have a release date or window yet. Hopefully, Wholesome Games will showcase it at a future Wholesome Direct.
