Day of the Devs is a fun event where indie developers get their time to shine. This year’s event was packed with a ton of great games, sure to make everyone happy. Here’s our complete rundown of the Summer Game Fest Edition of Day of the Devs 2025.

First up, Snap and Grab showed off a lead character with a double life. Not only is Nifty Nevada a photographer for the fashion industry, but she also runs a crime outfit that uses her photos for the heists.

Next, the multiplayer adventure game Big Walk challenged players to team up and spend time together while exploring an open world. It’s funny, because honestly, the most compelling thing about the game to me is the wild character design.

Next up, the artist behind ABZÛ, The Pathless, and Journey brings us Sword of the Sea. In the trailer, we see an atmospheric surfing adventure with high-speed Hoversword movement inspired by skateboarding and snowboarding. The game will be available on August 19th on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

The next reveal was a sequel to Escape Academy, an open-world escape room game, perfect for solo play or two-player co-op. Players solve puzzles together and work their way through the school curriculum to become a master escapist.
We also got a look again at Mixtape, the game that’s part 80s coming-of-age movie and also an interesting vehicle to explore the path of three kids ready to go their separate ways after being inseparable. No word yet on Mixtape’s release date.

The next trailer really caught my eye from the creators of Guacamelee! and Nobody Saves the World. The game is a psychedelic western nightmare in the style of an action RPG. The art style was one of my favorite things I saw from either Day of the Devs 2025 or the Summer Game Fest event before it.

Outerloop Games was up next with Dosa Divas, a narrative-driven turn-based RPG. Sisters utilize an ancient spirit-mech to fight against a fast food empire. Again, I think the style here really speaks for itself. This is an easy one to wishlist.

We saw a slew of games next, including the action side-scroller Possessor(s), a roguelite called Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, and a museum security worker thriller called Please Watch The Artwork. We also got another peek at Marvel: Cosmic Invasion, the retro brawler featured earlier in the Summer Game Fest event. We also got a look at a horror title that’s set up as a life-sim game, which really seems like my thing.

Surprisingly, we got another museum-themed game where you steal art that has been stolen from Africa. The game, Relooted, seems like a very unique title that we can expect sometime soon for PC and Xbox.

Ratatan isn’t just another roguelite action game, it’s fast-paced and seems like a ton of fun. This arrives on consoles and PC in 2025 later down the road. Crazy enough, the apex of action is a 100-character fight that you embark on in a rhythm-style game. After this, we saw Thick as Thieves, a game where you choose different approaches to the life of a thief in the booming 1910s.

Potentially, the game of the show for me was Pocket Boss, a game where you complete minigames to keep the stock market crashing so your ominous bosses don’t fire you. It was so odd and weird, and exactly what I would want from a Day of the Devs reveal. Another highlight came right after, Consuming, where you play a high school senior girl who is navigating things like dieting, fashion, and earning chore money to rise in the social ranks before graduation.

Off, a game that released 20 years ago, is finally coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch. Good news for fans of the game, but I hate to admit I’ve never heard of it. The second-to-last reveal of the show was Tire Boy, a puzzler with incredible environments and a bunch of biomes and locations to explore. Now it’s time to touch on the last game of the show, which seemed to be an interesting choice.

Toem 2, a game we already knew about, closed things out today. Not the big reveal you sometimes hope for, but definitely a game many are looking forward to! That’s everything for this year’s Day of the Devs Summer Game Fest event. Let us know in the comments what you thought of the show!
