LEGO to Officially Launch Pokémon Line in 2026

Collaborations between major companies in entertainment happen often, but few warrant the gravity of the latest announcement from LEGO. For decades, the company has brought IP from video games, movies, television, and pop culture to the brick-based building experience. Everyone from Star Wars to Animal Crossing has a line of LEGO toys, but one huge name in culture and entertainment has yet to get the toy treatment from this iconic company. That all changes next year when Pokémon and LEGO begin their first line of products ever.

The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International announced a new multi-year partnership that will bring LEGO Pokémon to fans for the first time in 2026. Spokespeople from both companies shared optimism and excitement about the deal, which for most of us seems like an absolute no-brainer. It is obvious that Pokémon fans would want LEGO products, but deals like this can take a lot of time to materialize.

The Pokémon Company International certainly seems more open to collaborations outside of Japan in past years, and LEGO is a great fit. In the official press release, The LEGO Group states that both companies have “a long history of pushing the boundaries of social play, which is at the core of this partnership. For the first time, the LEGO Group will be bringing the most loved Pokémon to life in a brand-new way, with play experiences that will delight new and existing fans alike.”
