Madden NFL 27 (Xbox Series X) Review

Madden NFL 27 and EA College Football 27 both release within weeks of one another now that EA is publishing two titles ahead of football season. It’s not necessarily like they’re competing against one another; each league has its own fandoms. Football fanatics will probably…

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls (PC) Review

Editor’s Note: The author of this review is reviewing it solely on the game’s merit with mild knowledge of source material. Marvel Tokon is stated by the developers as a love letter to both Japanese Anime and Marvel Comics, so opinions here…

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Review

In the long list of Nintendo franchises, Xenoblade Chronicles has slowly become a unique and standout example of the game company’s lineup diversity. Monolith Soft is one of the most underrated studios in Nintendo’s roster, providing great support for top-tier titles and, of…

Backyard Baseball 2026 (PC) Review

Many games defined my childhood: Star Wars Battlefront II (`05), Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, SSX Tricky, Fuzion Frenzy, & Backyard Baseball! To say that Playground Productions has reactivated parts of my childhood memory is an understatement. The recent re-releases of the classic…

Ugly Betty “Twenty-Four Candles” – Review

It has finally happened: the writer’s strike has ended, and Dr Horrible is months away, setting in stone a clear breakpoint in writing for this era. The first director of this shiny, full HD and somewhat “overly lit” era of Ugly Betty is…

Blue Reflection Quartet (Switch 2) Review

Blue Reflection Quartet is a collection of four games ripe with tropes in the larger Japanese entertainment media ecosystem. We have magical girls, mysterious worlds that exist alongside our own, and world-saving consequences running parallel to slice-of-life narratives. There isn’t necessarily an element…
