Roguelite Shooter Killware: Under Review Announced

Game Kiosk Digital has announced their first title, which they’re both developing and self-publishing. It’s Killware: Under Review, which presents itself as “[an] adrenaline-fueling, gory, arcade-style roguelite shooter where survival is mandatory.” You’ll have to “outlast escalating waves, grow stronger with each run, and defy the Content Compliance Police in a dystopian future that’s watching your every move.” The Steam Store page for Killware: Under Review currently lists its release date as “Q1 2027.” Here’s what a press release from Game Kiosk Digital has to say about what Killware: Under Review will have in store for players once it releases.

“Killware: Under Review is an ultra-gory top-down arcade shooter. Survive long enough to meet the time requirement and unlock brutal new stages, starting with just a pistol and your fists. Play it safe, or dare the authorities to unleash more severe compliance tools upon you, if you’re brave enough to climb Heat levels. In this dystopian future, the Content Compliance Police (CCP) decide what content you are allowed to see, and what content is disallowed. You posted something that broke the guidelines… and now you’ve been flagged as a threat to public narrative and compliance tools have been deployed against you. Can you survive?”

Based on that description, I really hope the story of Killware: Under Review stays fictional rather than becoming reality, though I have some lingering doubts about that. As of this article’s publication, there’s no word about how much Killware: Under Review will cost once it releases, nor is there any indication that it will release on any consoles or platforms other than Steam. Nevertheless, its Steam Store page is live, and you can wishlist it on Steam now if you’re interested. Killware: Under Review is currently planned to be released in “Q1 2027,” barring any unexpected circumstances that may require plans to change.
