Monday, there is a point at which Nintendo needs to be told not to do a direct for every little thing, including Pokémon day. Tuesday, if I weren’t back on the Farming Sim kick, I’d be heading to 17th-century France for The Abbess Garden, and WoW: Midnight is now out – which explains why David has been MIA. On Wednesday, David covered what is available with Humble Choice this month, while I’ll be breaking out the King Harvest hit for Moonlight Peaks. Thursday, I hate the people who name Gundam, and also Gundam are coming to Apex Legends.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store, I won’t mince words: it might be three separate offerings this week, but there is only one I’m interested in. We’ll start with the free-to-play nonsense that I can’t stand, otherwise known as Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and the Raistlin’s Renown Pack. I don’t need to tell you that it is just the currency guff that runs out faster than your Steam wallet when a sale comes. As you might guess, the Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms offering is available for both PC and mobile.
The mobile offering, however, for this week is Little Nightmares (1). Tarsier Studios’ original horror adventure, which is built on the child grave that is Limbo, with its dark, moody atmosphere and lack of subtlety for a small child in a big, scary world. As much as I am currently reviewing one of these push-right-to-progress things, and Little Nightmares (game and series) is often praised, it also depends on you caring at all about it, and I don’t. I don’t like the art style, the hints of a plot (spoiler: It’s all a nightmare), nor the “do the exact moves or die” gameplay.

Onto the only thing that’s not making me want to launch rocks through someone’s office window today, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank. Launched in 2024, this one is a top-down shooter RPG-ish thing about Snoozy Kazoo’s charming little fella, who committed tax evasion back in 2021. I guess now to pay off the tax bill, Turnip Boy has turned to bank robbing, which in this economy I can’t blame him. How much to fill a tank just to drive a few miles?
All this week, you can pick up Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and the Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms for PC, with the latter and Little Nightmares (1) also available via the Epic Games Store for mobile. Onto next week, and apparently, timing is everything. Cozy Grove is an isometric collectathon type thing that is, you’ll never believe it… cozy! If that’s supposed to make you feel warm, BlackMill Games’ WWI Isonzo is a reminder that the implements of war might change, but war, war never changes.
