Not since the court order have I thought about working in an office, especially after… the incident. I may have said once or twice in the thousands of articles I’ve written that I don’t like people. I like noise-cancelling headphones, silence, and on a rare occasion, stepping outside to shout at people making noise. Indeed, I think the days of me working in an office have passed me by when I went from 7 to turning 65, but on occasion, I do sometimes think about the massacre that would be working in an office, and I guess Monday Syndrome might give that fix.
Out now, hyesmo’s [sic] Monday Syndrome was released today, Monday the 9th of February, and it is a fantasy about doing exactly what you thought of at 11:38 this morning when you were in hour two of that 30-minute meeting. You play as an intern in the offices of hell, or maybe they are just hellish offices, one and the same, really.
Here is what the press release says about Monday Syndrome: “We all know that Monday feeling – when everyone at the office seems to move like zombies and every ‘quick sync’ makes you want to scream. Monday Syndrome is a satirical action [R]ogue-like where you do the healthy thing: [B]low off steam by smashing through a corporate hellscape with absurd office-supply weapons.

Monday Syndrome is a stress-release fantasy wrapped in dark comedy: The office, the routines, the passive-aggressive ‘Executive Orders’ – turned into a fast, chaotic combat playground with destructible environments. It’s catharsis with a keyboard.“
Honestly, who hasn’t thought about giving that one co-worker new dentistry work when they talk about reality TV and the microwaved dinner they had because a crap Bumble date went nowhere? Honestly, making like top-down Dead Rising and strapping knives to an office chair sounds like a great time. Monday Syndrome might just be that fantasy that relieves all the hookers and White folk in GTA from my wrath for a while, just a while though. Monday Syndrome is available now on Steam with a 40% discount from its $9.99 price tag.
