Since it seems that The Game Awards season has its own list of showcases, we’re back for another one. This time, it’s the Latin American Games Showcase, specifically covering games developed by Latin American developers. While Keiran normally covers this one, I’m excited to get into it. These showcases are usually stacked with games, and we’ve got over 70 games to get into, so let’s get started.
We start with a bit of a pre-show, showcasing a few segments. The first is a game called Skinwalker: First Blood, which seems like a pixel-art-infused action-adventure game with a deep narrative. It also focuses on a dual narrative, one side focused on the human part of the protagonist, and one part focused on the bestial side. Skinwalker is coming in 2026, though we don’t have a full release date yet.
The next segment covered a cozy decoration and hidden object game called Hidden Around the World. You can wishlist it now and take pictures of all sorts of scenes and objects hidden in various worldly locales.
Pichon Games was next with an interesting horror game that combines “game-within-a-game” elements with a variety of gameplay types and styles. Chunky Jump is on its way in 2026 and will also be collaborating with Garten of Banban. You can wishlist it on Steam now.
Are you interested in a froggy metroidvania? Big the Cat would be proud. Frogreign is an upcoming Metroidvania by Arkanpixel where you play a frog warrior. It looks like a blast, and you can wishlist it now.
Then there was a short teaser for Hellbrella, which seems like a Rogue-like with a variety of umbrella-based weaponry. You can wishlist it now on Steam. I’m pretty intrigued.
Acclaim is back, and they have a new trailer for an all-new snowboarding game! Hyperyuki is a colorful snowboarding game with all sorts of courses and tricks. It looks like fun, and you can wishlist Hyperyuki: Snowboard Syndicate now.
The next game really had me diving for my wishlist. Go traveling with your friend, Bon Bon the Cat, packing bags for people just to their specifications. In Pakinpaks, you pack bags for all sorts of people, enjoying cozy vibes. You can wishlist Pakinpaks now on Steam ahead of its Q1 2026 release date.
From cute and cozy packing to a more bloody affair, the next trailer was for a Deckbuilding RPG called Sigils of Nightfall. Crawl through dungeons, fighting enemies, and try to survive. You can wishlist Sigils of Nightfall now.
Moving into puzzle territory, we have Emptiness Sire. You play as multiple characters progressing through logic puzzles. You can wishlist Emptiness Sire now.
Now we drift back to the older era of PCs. In Desktop Explorer, you search through your Uncle’s PC, discovering all manner of puzzles that also affect the world around you. It looks like there are some meta-game elements too. You can play a demo now and wishlist it on Steam.
The next segment covers a new “Divine Strategy game” called Demiurgos. You watch as civilization grows, helping your people survive and thrive. You choose how your religion operates and can even be evil if you want. You can wishlist Demiurgos now.
Next comes an isometric shooter called Minegeon Renegades. It looks really interesting, and it seems to have multiplayer, a storyline, and possibly Rogue-like elements too. You can play a demo for it now.
From Isometric shooting, we moved into First-Person Shooting, this time with a colorful, possibly multiplayer Rogue-like FPS called Shadows of ChromaTower. This one is coming to PC and Xbox consoles, though we don’t have a release date yet. An open playtest is coming in January, though, so keep an eye out for that.
Now, for a spookier vibe, we have The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. This period shooter seems to put you in the shoes of one of multiple characters, as you deal with crazed revenants and the possible loss of your mind. Fun right? The Mound will be released on PC and consoles sometime in Summer 2026.
How do you feel about cute blobs? Well, this next game offers blobs and puzzles. Glume is a puzzle game where you help blobs solve puzzles, sometimes bringing them together to form clusters of blobs. It looks like fun, but I need to see more. Glume is available now on Steam.
Time to punch some ghosts! Don’t Kill Rumble has you racing to the top, fighting off your opponents (other friends presumably), as well as obstacles and ghostly enemies. Don’t Kill Rumble will enter Early Access in February 2026, and it looks like a nice party game. Possibly the next big thing on YouTube.
Cuteness continues with what looks to be a rather gnarly platformer. Collect berries as you hit switches and dodge hazards in Unidun, available now. It looks like you can play alone or with a friend, so it might be nice to tackle with someone on the couch. The little cyclops creatures are cute too.
From cute to retro-style horror, we have another horror game with a PS1 pixel aesthetic. Vultures: Scavengers of Death looks similar to Resident Evil 1 or 2, but with a turn-based X-COM vibe. You can wishlist it now, with a Q1 2026 launch date.
Now with the pre-show out of the way, let’s dig into the showcase itself. We start the main showcase with a trailer for a cozy adventure from Bolivia. You play as a Llama on a journey to find your family. A llama? He’s supposed to be dead! Anyway, Llamalandia is an adorable adventure where you build a llama sanctuary, interact with other creatures (including armadillos!), and even raise llama babies. Llamalandia will be available on PC and Xbox in Q3 of 2026. 2026 Game of the Year contender here (and I’m fully serious), move over GTA.
Next, they moved to a segment on games that are playable now. This segment started with Baki Hanma: Blood Arena, a 2D fighter available now, which looks to be a mix of anime and Punch-Out. I’m not familiar with the source material, so I’m sure that comparison will draw some hate mail. It is available now on PC and all major console platforms.
Bittersweet Birthday showed up next, a boss-only Action Adventure where you piece together your memories while you face your foes. You can purchase Bittersweet Birthday now on PC.
Kingdom of Cards blends Deck-based gameplay with merging gameplay to create tools, units, and armies of soldiers. You’ll explore, farm, and essentially blend city/kingdom building with Rogue-like gameplay. You can purchase Kingdom of Cards now on PC, and it is 30 percent off this week.
Master Lemon: The Quest for Iceland is a magical adventure that explores culture, languages, and magic. Master Lemon is available now on PC and consoles. I’m definitely interested in this one.
The Trolley Solution is next, a collection of unpredictable mini-games that seem crazy and fun. It’s available now on PC, so why not explore philosophy with it?
Next was a segment on Tormented Souls II, which is available on PC and consoles now. This sequel to the indie horror love letter to classic survival horror games carries on the story, and I’ve heard it is pretty good. You can also check out a demo now.
The first World Premiere trailer came next, for Treetopians, a cute, cozy settlement-building game set in the trees! Treetopians doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will be coming to Steam. It’s giving me Smurfs vibes but without the mushrooms.
Shifting back to puzzle territory, we have a game where you merge and match bread and baked goods. Fill orders from customers by matching baked goods to make bigger/different ones. Pancito Merge is out today on Steam, and it’s very similar to the Dogpile game I wrote about on Monday in the PC Gamer Most Wanted showcase piece.
From cute pastries to cyberpunk action, we have a trailer for Eagle Knight Paradox. It looks similar to a run-and-gun style Mega-Man game, and it is set to release on PC in Q1 2026. You can play a demo for Eagle Knight Paradox now.
Moving into Racing content, we have Fatal Run 2089. This new trailer shows off the vehicular combat and racing action that’s coming sometime next year (presumably). Fatal Run 2089 will be releasing on PC and all major consoles.
Noir detective stories are a favorite of mine, and this next trailer fills that craving in spades. The Posthumous Investigation puts you in the role of a detective who must solve the case, even if it takes several tries to succeed. We’ll be investigating this time-loop-esque case in Q1 2026 on PC and mobile.
Back to Eldritch Horror, we have a trailer for Shadow Sacrament: The Roots of Evil. This survival horror game boasts a pixel-art aesthetic and plenty of dark and gory environments to explore. Shadow Sacrament is coming in Q4 2026 for PC.
Keeping up the pixel vibes (and a bit of horror), we have a trailer for Skinwalker: First Blood, which we saw a bit of during the Pre-show segment. I won’t go over the whole thing again here, but Skinwalker will be coming to PC and all major consoles in Q2 2026.
Back to games that are available now, you can play Bloodrush: Undying Wish now. It is available on PC, offering fast action and a focus on quick combos.
In Dunjungle, you play as a monkey in an action Rogue-lite. Dunjungle has you defending the jungle, exploring shifting dungeons, and more. You can play Dunjungle’s demo now on PC and consoles. The full game will be released tomorrow on December 11th, 2025.
Into the Grid is a cyberpunk deckbuilding action game where you hack into corporate servers. Match strategic card-based combat with exploring maps in tactical and efficient ways to become the most formidable hacker around. Into the Grid is now in Early Access on Steam.
Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is out now on PC and consoles. This emotional exploration and puzzle game involves you helping the people of Limbo resolve their grief. It looks really fun, and the premise seems like it will really be an emotional experience.
It’s time to build a vending machine empire, and in the most convenient of places, your desktop! Tiny Vending Machines is available now and lets you automate a thriving vending machine business all while you work and do other things in the background.
Next was a trailer for Despelote, a narrative Football (soccer for Americans) game with a unique visual style. It is available now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. It won multiple awards, and I have heard it is very good, if you like that sort of thing.
Back to World Premieres, we have a trailer for a survival horror game with a PS1 aesthetic called Hollow Stories: Lockdown. The game has a striking visual style, and the trailer promises a mind-bending story. It will be available in Q1 2026 on Steam. I presume the plan is for more “Hollow Stories” games to be produced, but I can’t say for sure.
From Mind-bending horror to food and dungeons, we have a trailer for Deep Dish Dungeon. This Metroidvania-style exploration game has you finding new ingredients as you progress, and food is vital to your survival. The developers promise multiplayer survival gameplay where food determines your stats. It seems interesting. You can wishlist Deep Dish Dungeon now.
Hayaku! Island of Darkness is a retro-styled action-adventure game with the visual style of games like Shovel Knight or the early Mega-Man titles. It combines action, platforming, and a variety of other elements as you progress. Hayaku! Island of Darkness will be available in Q4 2026.
From high-speed action to magical witch gameplay, the next trailer showed off Magical Blush. You play as a young girl, learning new spells and progressing through levels. Different elements help you solve puzzles and pass obstacles. Magical Blush will be available in Q3 2026.
Another world premiere trailer dropped, this time for Mutter. Mutter is an exploration, foraging, and horror-infused puzzle game where you must deal with your mother’s transformation while also trying to preserve the person she once was. Mutter will be released in Q1 2027 and showcases a rather gorgeous Stop-Motion aesthetic.
From spooky family problems to upbeat robots in space, we have a trailer for Spaceman Memories. After waking up from cryosleep, you must explore and help the residents of the land you find yourself in. There looks to be puzzles, exploration, and JRPG elements. Spaceman Memories is coming to Steam on April 15th, 2026.
Papers, Please? Oops, sorry, no. The next trailer was for a similar-looking game with a similar idea. The State of Nowhere will be released in Q1 2026 and has you doing everything from looking over documents to making arrests and processing payments. Anomaly Works seems to have done a pretty great job on this one. It looks interesting anyway.
The next game took a quick turn for the surreal and a little creepy. Woodrot puts you in the role of the maintenance man for an apartment complex that is now mysteriously in the middle of the ocean. Expect plenty of weirdness here, in a good way. Woodrot will be released in Q2 2026 on Steam.
After a small advertiser break, we moved to the next segment, covering more games available now, starting with Beacon of Neyda. Build a base and survive after a robotic uprising, and explore a crumbling world. You can pick up Beacon of Neyda now on PC and Xbox.
Wanna destroy a megacorp’s robotic army? Lia: Hacking Destiny might be right up your alley. You can play it now on all major platforms, enjoying action Rogue-like gameplay with a colorful sci-fi vibe.
For a mobile-only offering, Magenta Arcade II is available now. This mobile game lets you enjoy shoot-em-up gameplay where you uncover secrets, destroy foes, and more.
The Bar Souls is something for those boss-rush Souls-like fans out there. Explore a mysterious digital realm and uncover more secrets the deeper you go. The Bar Souls is available now on PC.
For more spooky action, The Mare Show might offer some thrills. This Arcade Horror game has you exploring with nothing but a trusty flashlight. Luckily, that flashlight can help you uncover secrets and can keep the horrors at bay. The Mare Show is available now on PC.
Next was a segment on Colorbound, a game jam game based on the theme “Out of Sight, Out of Mind.” In Colorbound, you can only interact with things you can see. So, by changing the background and interfacing with different colors, you are able to solve puzzles. Though it started as a Game Jam game, it has become a larger project. You can wishlist Colorbound now ahead of its Q3 2026 release window.
The next world premiere showcased Aura: Echoes of Pain. This beautiful and evocative puzzle-platformer looks to have a deeply emotional narrative behind it. You can wishlist it now for PC and all major consoles, though we don’t have a release window yet.
Have you ever wanted to be the axe that Kratos throws? Okay, not in the rule 34 sense. Anyway, Hack and Climb is an interesting-looking platformer where you play as a variety of different weapons, each with a different style of movement. Hack and Climb will be available on January 20th, 2026.
Have you ever wanted to cause chaos with a severed arm? Arm Around! Is a game that lets you do just that. From flinging yourself around to causing explosions and more. It reminds me a little of I am Bread, just with a more one-handed feel. Arm Around can be wishlisted now on PC.
Bulbo’s Belief System is a game where you solve puzzles, all with the beliefs of your character, Bulbo. Bulbo can only know 4 things at a time, so by having Bulbo learn or forget things, you change the way Bulbo interfaces with the world. Bulbo’s Belief System will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch in Q3 of 2026.
One Card, One Shot Mafia is the first noir sniper card game ever. That’s a pretty niche description, so I’m not surprised. However, One Card, One Shot Mafia has you solving puzzles using cards, all with a classic noir finish. It will be available on PC and consoles in Q1 2026.
Shade Protocol’s trailer enthralled me. Shade Protocol is an action Metroidvania where you use different instruments as weapons to pull off interesting (and shocking) maneuvers. One instrument can alter space and time, while another may let you throw it to provide a platform. It is easier to explain via trailer, so check it out. Shade Protocol is coming to PC and Xbox at some point. You can wishlist it now.
Gunny Ascend was next. Gunny Ascend is an action puzzle game coming in Q1 2026. In it, you match blocks to get higher and higher. More matches take you higher, but the clever part is, each character you play as is based on a specific game by a Latin American developer. It is a really cool concept, go wishlist it now.
Back to games you can play right now, we have AILA. In this first-person horror experience, you play as a tester for a new AI, which builds games based on your fears. Let’s just hope this isn’t a prophetic story, right? You can play AILA now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
With something a little lighter, we have Gaucho and the Grassland. In this cozy life-sim, you can live like a Latin Cowboy and explore the grassland. Decorate a home, support your community, and bring balance between humanity and the mystical beings of the world. Gaucho and the Grassland is available now on PC.
Back to the Metroidvania side of things, we have Kentum, a survival-infused post-apocalyptic Metroidvania. You’ll have to seek out supplies, build machines, and do what you can to survive all sorts of mysterious locations. Kentum is available now on PC and consoles.
Kingdom’s Deck brings card-based construction elements and merges them with tower/city defense elements. Expand your kingdom, all while facing nightly sieges that threaten to destroy your home. You can play Kingdom’s Deck now on PC.
Shard Squad is a bullet heaven that mixes all sorts of cute characters with intense shifting environments and a variety of combat synergies. Shard Squad is available now on PC. Mike reviewed it not too long ago, so check the review out too if you’re interested.
Next was a segment for Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, a game I’ve had my eye on for a bit. You can join Pipistrello on her journey now on PC and consoles. It mixes platforming, combat, and puzzles, all with a unique main weapon, a Yo-Yo! What’s not to like, right?
After that segment was a world premiere for an unsettling grocery store management game. Sell items to unsettlingly grotesque beings, restock, and hide as needed. Seems…like normal retail? Retail Hell will be available in Q1 2026 on PC. That name seems very appropriate.
I asked about blobs earlier. Looks like we have more in this next trailer for Go Slimey Go! This platformer showcases a slimy blob as you jump and try to avoid hazards through a variety of stages. You can play Go Slimey Go now, so what are you waiting for? Go help Slimey get to tea time!
A new trailer for Mexican Ninja was next. Fight through Nuevo Tokyo as the titular ninja, exploring colorful, bloody locales. The final playtest for Mexican Ninja is coming in January 2026.
Do you like digging? So do I, and that’s why this next game excites my greedy little brain. Excavate and mine to unlock more and more upgrades in You Know the Drill. It’s headed to PC in Q1 2026, and the devs need more credit for the name; it’s perfect.
Back to more action, we have another interesting game called Onikura. The trailer for Onikura showcased a beautiful action game with parry-based souls-like action. I can easily see Sekiro fans being interested in this. You can wishlist Onikura now.
The next game was interesting. The Kindling is a puzzle game where you play a girl who can manipulate fire. By bringing two sticks together, you can conjure a flame that can be used for a variety of purposes. Solve puzzles using this ability and progress through this weird but interesting puzzle game. The Kindling is available now on Steam.
Looking for something Cyberpunk-y? Roadout might just scratch that itch. Play as Claire, a woman on a mission, as you shoot enemies, explore, kill bosses, and even drive around expansive areas. Roadout will be coming to PC on March 12th, 2026.
My wishlist is reaching critical mass, but Soulquest has been added to the pile. In this action hack-and-slash, you’ll defy death itself to bring your beloved back to life. Soulquest will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch in Q2 2026.
The next trailer was for a shooter called The Path into the Abyss. This mysterious FPS has you exploring a mysterious realm in pursuit of your father. It can be wishlisted now on PC.
The last trailer was for a game I’ve been following for a while. Mariachi Legends is the next game from the developers of 9 Years of Shadows, a fantastic Metroidvania. You play as Pablo Cruz, who can transform into the mysterious La Sombra after a fateful encounter with Death herself. Mariachi Legends is coming to PC and all major consoles in 2026.
With that last announcement, the LAGS: Game Awards Edition came to a close. There were a lot of great games at the showcase, and you can pick up a variety now. Every time LAGS does a showcase, there are a lot of great games, and this was no exception. The Latin American development community is thriving, and I can’t wait to see and play more of these great games.
