Monday, I got a coffee machine that has kept me awake all week, there is a combat-free RPG in early access, and the second “big update” for Demonschool released. Tuesday, Warframe is apparently still a thing. Wednesday, Humble kind of got the memo, there is a Sonic arcade cabinet, and it isn’t just the 2000s with the US committing war crimes, we’re also getting colorful shooters. Thursday, you too could drive a red tractor with the Ferrari badge, albeit faster, and Elden Ring Nightreign now has DLC.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store, and I’m concerned I’ve gone insane. We’ll start with what I thought would be the PC offering, but is actually the PC and mobile offering this week, The Darkside Detective. Originally released back in 2017, the chunky pixel art from Spooky Doorway’s The Darkside Detective reminds you of its inspirations on its sleeve, being a point-and-click adventure heavily influenced by 90s media. An occult/supernatural detective piece with a focus on assaulting you with puns like it was born in the 40s-60s and just can’t hear the word “no.”

Onto the one that I thought made sense to be on mobile this week, The Jackbox Party Pack 4. Which offers social party games such as a sequel to Fibbage, called Fibbage: Enough About You, Survive the Internet, a dating game Monster Seeking Monster, a mass debating game Bracketeering, and an art game offering, Civic Doodle. All games in The Jackbox Party Pack 4 are, of course, multiplayer-focused, with all the games requiring at least three players that can be played with phones, tablets, or computers.

All this week, you can pick up The Darkside Detective on the Epic Games Store for PC and mobile for Android worldwide and iOS in the EU, with The Jackbox Party Pack 4 only offered for the Epic Games Store for PC. Onto next week, and I’ve no idea. Epic is giving me three different times when the next thing will be available, and to find out, we “need” to watch Geoff suck off Sam Lake and/or Hideo Kojima. Do I get to be snippy about it? No? Well, deal with it.
