So, this is an interesting bit of news. We’ve seen Fortnite collaborate with all manner of media, but indie games aren’t usually the type for crossover. However, a recent announcement detailed a rather surprising bit of information for 2026.

That’s right, folks, Line Games has announced that Ember and Blade will be collaborating with Fortnite. The collaboration will coincide with the 2026 release of the game, which tells me that the developers likely have a firm release date set already, though it hasn’t been announced yet. Here is what the press release says about the collaboration:

“LINE Games announced a cross-title collaboration with Epic Games to coincide with the 2026 launch of Ember and Blade on the Epic Games Store. As part of the collaboration, exclusive Ember and Blade cosmetics will arrive in Fortnite, giving players the chance to wield the fiery style of the upcoming action RPG within one of the world’s most popular battle royale titles. These cosmetics will be available at launch and included with all purchases of Ember and Blade on the Epic Games Store.

In Ember and Blade, play as Fenrix, a cursed immortal bound to an endless cycle of death and rebirth. Once a man, now a weapon of divine punishment, he descends into the burning depths of Oblivion to stop the rise of the archdemon Asmodeus. Every death reshapes his path, driving him closer to mastery as he unlocks relics, forges new weapons, and turns his curse into divine power.”

Personally, I wonder what led to the decision for this collab. I loved my time with the Ember and Blade Demo, but it doesn’t immediately scream “Let’s throw this into Fortnite.” However, as far as marketing ploys go, this is a great way to throw the game out in the eyes of a large swath of players who are playing season after season of Fortnite.

Regardless, if you haven’t already played the demo, go play it. It is a really solid Survivors-like/Bullet Heaven with a fun story and gorgeous art style. If you have played the demo, tell your friends, and make sure to wishlist the game on Steam. Otherwise, the devs might cry, or something.
