Monday, Apes Warfare is Famicom Wars crossed with Planet of the Apes, releasing this month in early access; Diggergun got a release date, and now you can sling weed in the sewers to avoid cops, or you can play the Halloween update to Schedule I. Tuesday, Devil Jam is out now. Wednesday, Switch 2 sales are high despite Nintendo’s awful business practices, and November’s Humble Bundle offerings are here. Thursday, there was a Warhammer Rogue-like game announced, which I’m sure excited three people and Henry Cavill. Warhammer is half-painting figures and buying more stuff, nothing else.
Onto this week’s offering on the Epic Games Store, and I’m going to note it as one for a reason. For PC, you can pick up Kong Orange’s Felix The Reaper, a rom-com 3D puzzle game where you play as Felix, a dancing in the shadows embodiment of death with a special guest as the instructor for the Ministry of Death, Patrick Stewart. Yeah, Captain Baldy himself; no wonder Ben and Shaw don’t like him after Wolf 359. A strange one that will entertain for a few hours, but be warned of a sequel tease leaving you blue-balled.

The offering this week is for mobile and for PC is Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms with the Nixie’s Renown pack, “valued at $100.” Typical free-to-play special offerings: “unlocks for 5 exciting Champions, as well as chests to gear them up for FREE just by logging into the game!” With the “Exclusive Familiar: Sting the Scorpion” and two week-long buff potions. I say it every few months when we see Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. I don’t understand this at all – free-to-play, idle games, and the use of Dungeons & Dragons.
All this week, you can pick up Felix the Reaper and Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms‘ Nixie’s Renown pack until the 13th of November. Onto next week, and it is a proper double-bill, starting strong with Flying Oak Games’ 2020 platforming Rogue-lite, ScourgeBringer. Of course, that’s not all, as the second offering is Chimera Entertainment’s turn-based Strategy from last year (literally), Songs of Silence. The latter is probably on offer simply in time for the update to improve multiplayer, and the new, as-yet-untitled standalone DLC, releasing sometime this winter.
