Yooka-Replaylee Gets Full Release Date

I really enjoyed Yooka-Laylee. However, I can admit that the polishing and rebalancing that Yooka-Replaylee has been promising is necessary. Now, the newly enhanced version finally has a release date!

Yooka-Replaylee will be released on October 9^th,2025. It will be coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and a surprising reveal as of this weekend. Yep, you guessed it, Yooka-Replaylee is coming to Nintendo Switch 2! Here is what the press release says about the announcement:

And Nintendo Switch(™) 2! You heard that right! We are thrilled to be bringing the reimagined definitive buddy-duo adventure onto Nintendo’s latest hardware for players to enjoy in all its cartoony[,] colourful glory.

The long-awaited indie love letter to golden age collectathon platformers launches across all platforms priced [at] £24.99 / 28,99€ (SRP). A physical edition will also be released at retail for $49.99 SRP USD (SRP), with pre-orders beginning today. The physical edition will feature enhanced packaging and a selection of bonus goodies exclusively for retail.

Already own the original Yooka-Laylee? As a thank-you to long-time fans, players who own the original game on a given platform, will automatically receive 30% off when purchasing Yooka-Replaylee on that same platform.”

Gavin Price, Studio Director at Playtonic, also commented on the announcement, stating: “Yooka-Replaylee is built to shine on every platform, and we’re chuffed to bits it’s on Switch 2 from day 01, it holds a special place in our hearts (and hands). With new story elements, content, and an all-new map, Yooka-Replaylee is a spiced-up, reinvigorated version of the game fans know and love. I’m so excited to see how the developers made Yooka-Laylee even better, and I wonder if this will build to a Yooka-Laylee 2 (separate from The Impossible Lair). October 9^th isn’t that far away, so we don’t have long to wait!
