With Geoff busy prepping for next week, the news for this week is drier than Granny’s gums. Or so your Granddad tells me. Tuesday, Alexx spoke about a weird 1-bit Rogue-like that’s doing interesting things, and I waffled on about Out and About. Wednesday, Hotel Architect is going to Vegas, baby, while depression simulator Darkest Dungeon 2 is to get free DLC, or as we used to call that, an update, and Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons gets weird DLC. Thursday, I got excited about fondling balls later this year, and WoW continues to amaze me with how much it recycles ideas from 2005. Emails to the usual address!

Onto the Epic Games Store this week, and it is a weird one that I can’t quite put my finger on the theme for. I’ll be honest, I don’t think there is a theme anymore. We’ll start with the repeat, because otherwise we’d be going downhill from here. Totally Reliable Delivery Service is one of those “let’s do the Overcooked thing with physics and delivering someone’s stuff,” a bit like Moving Out. Designed with multiplayer or streaming in mind, it is probably more accurate to compare it to Goat Simulator and tripe like that.

Onto the PC and mobile offering for the Epic Games Store, it is Hidden Folks. Released in 2017, this strange and monochromatic hidden object game is in the vein of Where’s Wally (I’ll force-feed you a brick if you say Waldo) rather than its Big Fish Games counterparts, which means it is actually good. A bit like one of the offerings for Prime Gaming this month, as you’ll be able to pick up Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective, it is all about finding things hidden throughout the scenes that get increasingly busy.

All this week, you can pick up Totally Reliable Delivery Service and Hidden Folks on the Epic Games Store for PC until the 21st, with the latter offered on the Epic Games Store for mobile app on Android worldwide and iOS in the EU. Moving on to next week, and it is another one of those weird indie double bills we’re having lately, as you’ll be able to pick up Kamaeru and Strange Horticulture. Kamaeru is that strange but wonderful little frog sanctuary thing we saw during one of the faux-E3s as of late. With Strange Horticulture is another one of those occult puzzle games.
