I have always wanted a Zen garden; something about the peaceful vibe of it just hits a perfect spot in my brain. With more games allowing you to create dioramas and other casual or relaxing experiences, it was only a matter of time before we got a virtual zen garden. Sure enough, developer Campfire Studio has taken up the task.

Dream Garden has been announced for PC via a press release that was sent out yesterday. Announced for release on PC later this year, Dream Garden will let you create mini dioramas without limits, timers, or fail states, providing a stress-free experience. Here is what the press release says about Dream Garden:

“Relax and immerse yourself in Dream Garden, a cozy simulation game about building perfect little garden dioramas. Sit back, de-stress[,] and build gardens to your heart’s content in the new project from the duo behind My Dream Setup.

Design and refine the landscape. Use the rake tool to trace intricate patterns in pebbles and sand. With hand-sketched sculptures, lily-speckled ponds, trees, bridges, and more, you can design and build any garden you want. There’s no timers and no limits – just tranquil creativity.”

From typical things such as using the rake for creating designs in the sand, to creating hills, rivers, and ponds, Dream Garden gives you the freedom to make (obviously) the garden of your dreams. Campfire Studio is a two-person team, and I love the idea of giving people a casual, relaxing zen garden all in their PC.

While we don’t have a release date yet, I’m excited to learn more as we close in on whatever the release date ends up being. Dream Garden seems like the perfect stress-reliever, and I’m looking forward to having it open in the background while I work or do other things.
