Ok, apparently this one was revealed last year at Gamescom, but I’ll admit, unless I’m getting an email about it, I’m quoting Bobby Hill; I don’t know you, that’s my purse! Although we’re getting quite a few serious racing games on the horizon from big publishers, it was only yesterday that I covered Project Motor Racing, which is getting a release date and career overview. However, hours later, NACON and KT Racing made a major reveal for their next game, Endurance Motorsport Series. Well, you get points for the idea of endurance racing, but I’m not giving any for a name that sounds like you’re choking on marbles while trying to pronounce it.

I will admit, I was slightly confused by the press release, which states off the bat: “NACON and studio KT Racing have unveiled a brand-new video for Endurance Motorsport Series, the highly-anticipated racing game scheduled for release at the end of 2025 on PC, PlayStation®5, [and] Xbox [Series X|S].It’s difficult to seehighly-anticipatedwhen its the first time you’re seeing it.

Nonetheless, the press release goes on to note:[Endurance Motorsport Series] plunges straight into the thrilling world of endurance racing, allowing players to embody either a driver or a race engineer, with the possibility of instantly switching from one to the other thanks to the quick-swap system. Team strategy, crucial decisions[,] and dealing with the unexpected are all on the agenda, for a game experience that’s as intense as it is realistic.”

The latest trailer showcases one of my favorite race tracks in Japan and a car brand that seemingly forgets to put in indicators, BMW. The press release goes on to say,BMW enters Endurance Motorsport Series with two machines built for victory: the BMW M Hybrid V8 in the Hypercar category and the BMW M4 GT3, already crowned winners on the world’s greatest stages. Their next challenge: the legendary Fuji Speedway. Nestling at the foot of Mount Fuji, this legendary circuit combines long straights, technical turns[,] and unpredictable weather. Since 2012, the 6 Hours of Fuji has attracted the best drivers in the FIA Endurance World Championship, on a track where performance rhymes with strategic precision.”

Showcased just before what I always call Faux-E3, Endurance Motorsport Series was also given an overview during Bigben Week 2025 in May. In that, you get a look at not only the systems but also how KT Racing is trying to bring a true sense of endurance racing to the forefront of Endurance Motorsport Series. With dynamic weather, minimum driver times required during races, and, of course, crashes throughout races, there is a lot to think about.

However, as noted above, you can swap between being the driver(s) during the race and playing as the engineer at any point. As the race engineer, you not only get the basic F1 Manager screen, you get a full pit wall to control, with the ability to change strategy on the fly for the AI, determining when the weather will come into effect, and so on. Despite just finding out about it, I’m excited to see more from NACON and KT Racing on Endurance Motorsport Series soon.

As stated above, Endurance Motorsport Series is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, though we’ve still not got a release date beyondthe end of 2025.Thus far, we’ve had a look at Spa during Bigben Week 2025, and Fuji here, so one would assume at least some staples like Qatar, Imola, Le Mans, São Paulo, COTA, Sebring, Monza, Daytona, Paul Ricard, Sazuka, Assen, or even the Nürburgring will be announced soon. Now, in the immortal words of two men who were driven delirious:[…] and if you are listening, kids, if they are saying you can’t have cake. The only alternative to cake at, what’s this, two-thirty in the morning– HEROIN! No, it’s not that.”
