PalWorld to Receive Terraria Crossover

After creating a string of controversy and capturing the attention of thousands of players, PalWorld has faded into relative obscurity in recent months. According to reports, Nintendo is still actively pursuing a lawsuit against the publisher, but I don’t believe this is the reason behind the decline. Most likely, the general public simply moved on to the next shiny new thing. However, this hasn’t stopped the game from releasing new content in the form of a collaboration with the well-beloved adventure game Terraria.

Originally released in 2011, Terraria has been the go-to for many in terms of retro-style sandbox adventure titles. The game has released numerous free updates since launch and has become one of the best-selling games on Steam. This latest patch within PalWorld will offer some exciting features to further enhance the title. Tides of Terraria will feature a variety of new weapons and enemies themed around Terraria.

For example, the trailer showcases the iconic Terra Blade, the final boss of Terraria known as the Moon Lord, as well as the eye of Cthulhu. Additionally, the update will feature a host of Terraria creatures that can be trained, used in combat, or put to work. Finally, players can expect some new maps to explore as well as even more Pals, though these are stated to be generically themed and are a bonus to the collaboration content.

The Tides of Terraria update is set to launch on June 25th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. There is no word as to whether this update will be completely free, but I imagine so, as there would be no reason to withhold the price this close to launch. Furthermore, as part of the launch, PalWorld is currently on sale on Steam at a 25% discount until June 26th, so now is a great time to try the game out if it’s something that interests you.
