Ritual of Raven gets August Launch Date

I love a good witchy-themed experience. Games like Hades II, Grimoire Grove, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, all the magic and witchy aesthetic get my attention. Spellgarden Games’ Ritual of Raven is one such game, and we finally have a release date for it.

Ritual of Raven will be released for PC and Nintendo Switch systems on August 7^th, as reported via a press release from Team17. There is also a demo available from June 8th to the 16th as part of the Steam Next Fest. Here is what the press release says about Ritual of Raven:

“Ritual of Raven is a charming story-driven game that offers the comfort of a cozy farming sim, but you don’t do the farming yourself. Thanks to the wondrous power of magic, a lot of the heavy lifting is sorted by enchanting Constructs with Tarot cards. You can collect more during your adventure by helping the local villagers.

While your farm is whimsically planted and growing, you have time to meet a world full of colourful quirky characters, with their own rich backstories and personal growth arcs. Grow and collect ingredients for rituals, spell jars and quests, and decorate your new home.

There’s so much to explore, and you’ll do so with your cheeky Familiar, Raven. Tend to your home, while filling out your Book of Shadows and unravel the mystery behind the Portal Keepers.”

The demo will be a nice appetizer, though August isn’t all that far away. It is an interesting twist that most of the farming is automated, while you explore and experience the story that Ritual of Raven has to offer.

There are lots of creatures to see, characters to meet, and plenty of things to do in Ritual of Raven. With the decoration options and customization, Spellgarden Games clearly has been working hard. I’m even more excited about Ritual of Raven than I was prior to this announcement.
