I love a good mashup, either when we’re talking about potatoes or games. Interestingly enough, this particular subject somewhat mixes both of those things. Argentine developer LemonChili Software has announced the Early Access release of its upcoming game, Super Farming Boy.

Super Farming Boy is slated to enter Early Access on August 12th, 2025. According to game designer and CCO Nando Sarmiento, Super Farming Boy is a collision of Stardew Valley with concepts from Cuphead and The Binding of Isaac. Here is what the press release says about Super Farming Boy:

You play as Super, a young farmer with the power to transform into his own tools (yes, really — a shovel, hammer, pickaxe, and even a watering can). His evil corporate nemesis, KORPO™®©, has enslaved the land and kidnapped his mom and friends… and now it’s up to Super to harvest, combo, and save them all.

Farming is considered “combo-based,” where harvesting crops can trigger wild chain reactions to take on enemies. Across multiple wild seasons that range from normal ones like Spring and Winter, to more bizarre ones such as Volcanic and Radioactive, you’ll use all sorts of tools to harvest a myriad of crops.

Additionally, you’ll have pet companions that can help you manage your farm. Super Farming Boy is not just coming to PC. It has a demo available on Xbox as well. The trailer shows a colorful, involved, almost psychedelic game, and I can’t wait to see more.

While August is a long while to wait for the Early Access version, the demo should hold us all over in the meantime. Plus, the demo should give the team at LemonChili Software time to implement feedback and make the Early Access build the best it can be.
